Meet Mr. and Mrs. Colby Lamb.:)
On Saturday August 1st, 2020, after 13 years of waiting, and 1 month of wedding preparations, they finally tied the knot. We couldn't be happier for them, and the day that was long awaited for finally became Tiffany's dream come true.
And I was happy to be a part of it.
My friend Joanne was kind enough to offer her back yard along with a few wedding decorations for them to use because she was already hosting 2 other weddings this summer.
We all pitched in on yard work making everything look beautiful, and were blessed to have it all come together.
Everything from Tiffany's dress, the food, decorations, and flowers were put together with our hearts and a prayer, and it was beautiful.
On the day of the wedding we worked hard all day, and then went back to my house to get ready.
It was so fun to watch Lexi helping her mom...
Isn't she beautiful?
Maicen walked her down the aisle...
Kambriella and Kesslyn were her flower girls...
Xaxton was the ring bearer...
Colby was the lucky Groom...
Their friend Brian was the one who performed the ceremony...
...and Tiffany was the blushing and beautiful Bride. :)
I think I cried the entire time because I was just so happy for them...
We have all waited so long for this wonderful day, and the reality of it was finally so so sweet.
After their short, sweet, and meaningful ceremony, they cut the cake AND took a bite of a slice of pizza, and then invited the few family and friends that were there to eat right along with them.
It suited them just perfectly...
Love, Diet Coke, and Pizza! :)
Thanks for stealing a "pizza" my heart!
Kesslyn was such a sweet flower girl and LOVED her pizza!
We also had a soft serve ice~cream machine that won everyone's hearts! ;)
I was both honored and privileged to have all of my family there...we have all been by Tiffany and Colby's side through all of this and it felt so complete sharing it with them.
And in case you couldn't tell, THIS was the party table with all of the cool people. ;)
Momma, Craig, and Shane
Lexi and Rhaz
And a table full of some of Colby's most favorite people
My heart was so full and I was so happy for my little sister who is such a good person...
We've experienced a lot together, and it's been so wonderful to be closer than ever through it all.
I love her so much!!!
Of course we took some family pictures while we were all there...
4 out of the 9 kids were there, and I know that although my 4 older sisters couldn't be there, my brother Kelly and my Dad were there I'm certain.
One special thing was that my Dad's anniversary of his passing was just the day before the wedding and I could feel a strong sense of knowing that he was there with us. It was a special thought to imagine what role my dad and brother may have been playing in helping this special day come to pass...
Colby has changed so much and I really love the person that he has become.
I love to think that we are all "changing" and becoming new creatures every day.
Sweet little Bubba was there too with his beautiful momma. :)
After the food we began to party and dance.
This crew was hilarious!
This crew was just sweet.
This crew was half chunky and half smooth...
Can you tell which half was which?? :)
Little Kesslyn ended up with Tiffany's bouquet...
The night was beautiful and we just wanted to stay all night long to enjoy the feeling...it was such a happy night!
(And I REALLY loved my date!!! ;)
Carew and his girlfriend Kara had me take a few pictures of them too.
And literally, I think there was an ice~cream eating contest going on all night long. :)
People had fun dancing in the dark and letting loose...
All in all, the night was perfect. As perfect as it could have been for Tiffany and Colby. :)
As the night was winding down, the kids began getting more and more into their dancing...
Dallin put on a clinic for everyone...:)
...and I finally remembered that I wanted to take some pictures of how everything looked.
Unfortunately I didn't get everything because I was so focused on Tiffany and Colby that I kind of forgot about pictures, so we will just have to enjoy what I did get...
Our horse trough turned "watering hole."
It made for the cutest drink holder! (Although this is the back side and the drinks were almost gone and the ice was half melted!
Colby took off Tiffany's garter, and if you look closely, you can see that little Kesslyn was RIGHT by their side making sure that everything was OK. :)
All the single ladies went in for it!
Here is the view form the back of the yard...
The pizza tables...
A BETTER picture of the trough on the night I actually put it all together, a few days before the actual wedding...
The wedding cake made by Tiffany's friend Laura...
The infamous "Ice~Cream machine!"
Tiffany's bouquet made by my mom...
A few cozy vignettes to welcome the guests...
A cozy welcome to the back yard wedding...
With a sign in log and pictures of loved ones passed on...
The aisle that Tiffany walked down, but only after everyone had moved the chairs from the ceremony to the dinner...
And a big and bright harvest moon to shine down on our beautiful celebration!
The centerpieces...
There were lots of pretty decorations, but by far the most beautiful thing that night, was Tiffany and Colby's expression of joyful and grateful emotion.
One of my most memorable moments of the night was when Colby sat at the table with me and we watched everyone dancing in the dark, and someone asked Colby what happened to him? How had he changed? Where was the impatient and angry Colby that they once new??
He answered simply...
"It was that girl in the white dress...
It was Her."
Together we become better, and that is exactly what Tiffany and Colby are doing...becoming the BEST version of them selves...TOGETHER.
Congrats Mr.& Mrs. Lamb!!!
XOXOXO
