Birthday Prep at the Cabin

Yesterday was such a fun day for me!
After getting my girls off to school, I met up with Emma, (a.k.a. The Red Rolling Pin) to pick up Kesslyn's lemon flavored Deer cake to celebrate her 9th birthday!
After I had the cake, I went to Milburn to our cabin, to clean up, set up, and decorate for Kesslyn's birthday party that she had requested to have at the cabin.
We will all head down there today after school and work, but I LOVE the way Kesslyn's  birthday plan is coming together!
The birthday banner turned out so feminine and cute!
The deer cake is ADSORABLE!
I think this party will be everything Kesslyn has been dreaming of. ;)

There are also a dozen of these cute little squishy stuffed animal keychains that I set out all over the table for prizes for the games that we will be playing
I think the little deer is SO CUTE!
And I was so impressed with Kesslyn's vision and talent when she showed me the Deer poster that she had made all by herslf for the "Pin the Tail on the Deer" game we will be playing!
She is so talented and creative!
I love all of the details that she included like the flower crown on the deer, the basket of fruit by the bushes, the individual leaves on the trree, and the cute mailbox by the cabin that she drew.
Kesslyn, YOU ARE AMAZING!!!
After I got home, I found Kesslyn sitting at the table making bracelets with her new bracelet making kit that her friend and birthday twin Annie had given her. She loves it!
THEN, there were these two!!!
Kambriella and her friend Kayla dressed in disguise to go and deliver the posters they had made to respond to the boys that had asked them to Homecoming...
Watch out world...
These girls are coming to conquer you!

Amazing August

I was such a lucky Grandma to get to go to Hawaii to see this new sweet baby from heaven and all of Kierra's little family!
This was one of our first outings with the new little guy, and he was so comfy at the beach, he just slept through it all. :)
Sweet Princess Raya was so fun to hang out with too while Easton was in the water with Riley.

We were able to go to a birthday party of Easton's little friend at Chuck E. Cheese's while I was visiting them in Hawaii too! It was so fun to watch them all in their element just having fun being kids.

I spent plenty of time sitting on Kierra's porch swing just snuggling and rocking that little baby! ;)
Every morning my body would wake up so early (since there is a 4 hour time difference from Utah to Hawaii) and I would go out on a morning walk to move my body, rehab my foot from my surgery, and of course to take in all of the beauty of the island.
I LOVE quiet morning time...it's my FAVORITE time of day!
While I was in Hawaii I continued to receive updates from our favorite missionary, and THIS update made me SO HAPPY!!!
This was Gavin with some of his Riverton boys that were gathered together at the Mexico CCM to learn Spanish before heading out to their assigned missions.
Alex Gruber, Sam Lee, Gavin Trickett, and Ben Barrus!
Bring it in boys!

Trey, Sam, Alex, Gavin, (I'm not sure), and Ben
Another fun time with Kierra while I was in Hawaii was going to the beach for some newborn pictures of baby Hayden!
He was the PERFECT little model, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day for this important task...
We started the day and prayed for it to go well for the pics! (After all, we know that if it's important to you, then it's important to Heavenly Father!)
We found the most perfect beach (Sherwood Beach) where there were hardly any people, so we didn't have to worry about them getting in our pictures...
The weather was perfect!
A little overcast for great light, and a cool breeze so that we didn't melt while working this baby into all of his poses...;)
HAYDEN was a PRO! He slept through EVERYTHING, so we didn't even have to work at getting him to go to sleep so we could mold him and pose him...
We had borrowed some props and prepared the day before, and felt super prepared...(we also got a babysitter for Easton and Raya so we didn't have any little distractions;)
Kierra had a vision and knew what she wanted for her "Hawaii Baby" pictures, and it just couldn't have gone ANY better! I was SO happy for Kierra! It was amazing!

We also enjoyed a quiet minute sitting on the beach together after we were all done so that Kierra could wake up baby Hayden and feed him before the hour long car ride home.
I LOVE my girl and cherished EVERY minute I got to spend with her.
I LOVED our car ride there and back where we just got to talk about anything and everything with no one to stop us! ;)
I already miss my time with her.
We also spent one afternoon out at the zoo!
Kierra really wanted Easton and Raya to have at least ONE fun day with Lolli, where we got to get out and do what THEY wanted to do!
We looked at the animals and had a picnic lunch, and even got to go to our FAVORITE Vintage Island Shave Ice for a treat after the zoo!!
I don't really care WHAT I do with my family as long as I can BE with them! :)

This little sweetie also gave me one of his very first BIG SMILES!!!:)
And although I didn't have my camera out to take his picture when he did it, Kierra and I were so happy when it happened, and we snapped these pictures of the END of the big cheeser...;)

Easton and I also got to spend a little time in the kitchen one day making some yummy banana bread together! He LOVED it and so did I. :)
As soon as I got back home, it was time to switch gears and be back in Momma mode!
We had Eila over to spend the night for a few nights, and I took the girls school shopping at the outlets in Park City. What I thought would be a couple of hours of shopping turned into TEN HOURS of shopping!
The girls loved it and we all had a ball!
Kesslyn and Eila even got some new best friend matching locket necklaces...:)

We enjoyed the last few days of summer and even spent a day at Lagoon!!!
We hadn't been to Lagoon in forever, so it was a really fun day.
Uncle Harold and Aunt Marty joined us there since they have season passes.
Rodney also really loved Uncle Harold!

Clint and I also had a couple of date nights after I got back where we went to visit some beautiful houses in the  Parade of Homes.
It was a really fun date and gave us lots of good ideas for our future home.

(This Owner's closet was incredible! And NO, mine will not look like this! ;)

I started my new calling and had my first activity  as Kesslyn's Activity Days leader!
We had the ABC's of Back to School!
We also had a family Dutch Oven dinner at a park in Mountain Green where we got to eat yummy food, played some games, and got to visit with our family.

Clint's cousin Aimee and me!
We also held our annual Back -to-School dinner and celebrated the girls going back to school!
It is the first time EVER that we have only had GIRLS for our back to school dinner!
"Let's Go Girls!"
We had spaghetti, garlic bread, and corn, per request of Kesslyn. ;)
Kesslyn made some grape kool-aid, and I picked up some Crumbl cookies for dessert!
Daddy felt pretty special to be surrounded by PINK and 3 out of 4 of his favorite girls! ;)

Joni and Kesslyn on the first day of 4th grade!
These two cuties are in the same class, and in our stake.
Joni will turn 10 on September 14th, and Kesslyn will turn 9 on the last day of August! They are a whole year apart in age, and Joni is a whole head taller. :)
This is our car pool group (minus Easton who is missing in this photo...)
Huntley, Kesslyn, Emmit, Greta, and Paisley
Cute Kambriella!
I had to include this cute picture of a hummingbird that hovered right in front of me one morning while I sat on the front porch reading my scriptures. ;)
Daddy and cute Kesslyn out to dinner with Maggi for her birthday, and Kesslyn eating a lemon!!
Here are some fun pictures of me and Nicky out on a hike to the waterfall up Bells Canyon!
I LOVE this SO MUCH because we have been BEST FRIENDS since we were born, she came up to Utah to visit her mom, but made time to still come and see little ole' me, AND we talked and talked and talked forever, AND I made it through this moderately difficult hike with my rehab foot, and felt SO ENCOURAGED from this sweet friend!
She took the time to walk behind me and let me set the pace, AND she took me to the gym with her to teach me how to get my body strong again after my surgery.
Nicky, you will never know how much your time and attention means to me.
I freaking LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!

She taught me what I need to do, how I need to eat, and then I went and got a new gym membership to an "no gymtimidation" gym, Planet Fitness!
And guess who's joining me at the gym now???

I'M SO EXCITED AND I LOVE YOU CLINT!!!! :)
