45

Happy 45th Birthday to me! Clint had to go out of town for work on my birthday,  so my celebration got extended throughout the week.
My daughter Kierra had her friend Emma (aka the Red Rolling Pin) make me a beautiful cake (which I actually got a little after my birthday at the tail end of the extended celebration😍)
My sweetie surprised me and bought us some new E bikes! I was so excited about this gift because I LOVE being outside,  being active,  AND being with Clint,  and getting these bikes will make all of those fun things possible AT THE SAME TIME!🥰❤

I also enjoyed a lunch date at Zupas with my favorite missionary!
I was also spoiled by so many friends and family with gifts,  messages,  and Birthday wishes,  and my sweet daughter in law Kara made me the most yummy (and beautiful) salted caramel vanilla cake! Her and Carew made me a special birthday dinner of home made lasagna, and invited us over to their house to celebrate.  It was so sweet of them and I felt so loved!
I'm grateful for the family and loved ones that I've been blessed with,  and that love me so much too!

Ready to Drive

Sweet 16 and ready to drive!!!
I'm excited for Gavin to have the freedom that comes with driving.  Congrats on getting your driver's license! Watch out world, here he comes!

Gavin Turns Sweet 16

Happy 16th Birthday Gavin! What a fun year you have to look forward too! Dating,  driving,  being the"teenage" man of the house. 😁
To celebrate Gavin'ss birthday,  he got lucky and had no school on his birthday! So, we had his party on his birthday in the middle of the week.
Him and his friends played some outdoor yard games before heading to the K1 Speed Track for some indoor go cart racing!
Clint's friend that is a retired NFL player met them at the track and raced right along with them.  I think those boys thought that was pretty cool. 😎
Being 16 now,  Gavin did pretty well in beating everyone around the track! Way to go Gavin!
Later that evening we took the family and went out to Gavin'ss birthday dinner at a Tepanyaki restaurant called Bonzai.
It was DELICIOUS!! The teriyaki was divine,  especially the salmon,  that was MY favorite.
But really,  my FAVORITE is my family! And my sweet 16 year old Gavin! Happy Birthday buddy! I love you!

7th Grade SBO

Kambriella started middle school this year and is jumping right in! She tried out for 7th grade SBO and made it! (With the help of her awesome brother Dallin on video,  and mom on poster ideas. 😍). She also was nominated into the HOPE Squad,  which is also an honor in itself. Kambriella is a fun,  happy,  outgoing and crazy good girl, that is here to leave her mark on the world!
Congratulations Kambriella! We love you so much and are so proud of all the good that you bring to this world. This year WILL be an adventure,  and I'm so happy I get to experience it right along side you!❤

Labor Day Weekend 2021 - Dallin Becomes a Missionary!

Labor Day weekend was a special time for our family because it was Dallin's last weekend before he would become a fulltime missionary!
We took a fun little drive up to Midway and went to their Swiss Days. We walked around and looked at all of the little booths, bought some little souvenirs, and ate dinner up there too.
The next morning we went out to breakfast as a family and spent the day preparing for Dallin's Home MTC experience to begin!
On Sunday September 5th, Dallin was set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! It was official!
Name tag and everything! :)
We all sat together in the high council room with our stake president, President Bleak, who would also be serving as Dallin's mission president while he serves at home in the Home MTC.
Once again, my momma heart was full to overflowing with ALL OF THE GOOD that has come to our family.
I cannot even put into words just how thankful I am for this little family of mine.
They help me to want to do good, and they remind me where my priorities lie, and how badly I want to be with all of them FOREVER.

Congratulations Elder Trickett! WE LOVE YOU!

Kambriella Goes to the Temple!

Since the pandemic, temple attendance has changed.
Before, we could attend the temple anytime it was open. But now, we need to schedule appointments to go, and because we live in Utah where the population of the church is large, it is extremely difficult to get appointments for the youth to do baptisms for the dead. They fill up SO fast.
One night, I woke up and had an immediate thought to get online to check the appointments to see if anything had come available. It was 2:00 am and I thought it was interesting that the thought came to me then, but it did, so I listened.

I was not surprised that the perfect day, September 2nd (Kambriella's day for a date) was available!
So, I booked the appointment.
It would be Kambriella's first time going inside the temple to perform baptisms for the dead!

We were so happy to have so much family with us in the temple that day!
Kambriella's smile was HUGE.
While we were in the dressing room she kept giggling and telling Kara and I how happy she felt and that she knew that the Spirit was with her and that THAT was how it was speaking to her.
She could feel the spirit and LOVED being in the temple.

As much as I would have loved having Kierra there as well, I was grateful for Kara because she too is a big sister to Kambriella, and someone who also loves the temple.
Inside the temple it was incredible watching my boys take turns baptizing each other.
Carew baptized Kara, Dallin baptized Carew, Dallin baptized Kambriella, Dallin baptized Gavin, Gavin baptized Dallin, and then Gavin got to baptize another young man that was in the baptistry by himself with his mom.
Kambriella and I were also witnesses to the baptisms, and Clint was able to also watch and then participate in the confirmations with all of the family.
This was one of the happiest days for me as a mom. My heart was so full, and the feelings that I had being inside the temple with so much of my family reconfirmed to me that we are on the right track and that we need to always stay close to the Savior and attend the temple.

It is His house here on earth, and the spirit dwells there in abundance.
There we remember who we are and why we are here, and I don't ever want my children to ever forget that. I love them so much, with all of my heart and am SO grateful for this plan of happiness and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
I LOVE to see the temple, especially from the inside WITH MY FAMILY!!!

Kesslyn Turns 6!

On August 31st Kesslyn turned 6 years old!
She was so thrilled when we were heading out to the car to go to school that morning and we found this fun Happy Birthday sign in our yard from the primary!
She asked for a "calico kitty" cake, and our good friend Emma a.k.a. The Red Rolling Pin, delivered it purrfectly!
Kesslyn LOVED her cake and was SO happy!
After school was over we took our family and Kesslyn's little friend Greta and we went swimming at the South Jordan rec center.
SO much fun for Kesslyn's little birthday!
Kesslyn also asked for a "peeyata" (piñata :) for her birthday, and so of course that was what she got!
She was also lucky enough to have some of her very favorite people with us that night!
Tiffany, Kesslyn, and Colby
Kara and Carew ;)
Happy Birthday sweet Kesslyn! We LOVE you SOOOO much!

Dallin's Farewell

On August 29th, 2021 we had Dallin's mission farewell!
Dallin gave the most wonderful talk that came straight from his heart.
He shared some of his personal experiences in rock climbing and related that to progressing in the gospel and finding Jesus Christ.
He even shared his testimony in Portuguese! Wow was I surprised!
People usually don't do that until they return from their mission, but I think Dallin is so excited and eager to share his love for the gospel with everyone!
He did an amazing job, and we as his parents couldn't be more proud.
Jordyn was there to support him just as she has been all through this past year!
Dallin has always wanted to serve a mission, but I also think that having someone like Jordyn in his life helped him to be motivated to work hard and to do good things.
I know they will miss each other, but I also know that each of them will continue to do good things!
Hopefully things will work out where they can go on at least ONE date together when the next 2 years is up! We love you guys!
Here are a few of the pictures we displayed at the house for the family and friends to see that got to come over to the house after Sacrament meeting.
We also had everyone sign an apron for Dallin to take and wear while he's cooking for his companions on his mission!
What an awesome, amazing, super kid!
He's ready to go out and conquer - and take the gospel to "all the world!"
Heather Allen and her family came to support us!
Lots of support from our awesome family and friends...

…also lots of support from the female population of Dallin's friends...;)

We are so grateful for every person who loves Dallin!
We NEED each other on this journey through life, and I KNOW that the people of Brazil will NEED Elder Trickett!
