Fun and Family

One of my callings is to be Kesslyn's activity day leader, and so guess what?
We had the best Halloween activity EVER!
We had the girls paint pumpkins and dip caramel apples, and they had SO MUCH FUN!!!
My friend Maggi was so kind and brought EVERYTHING to do the caramel apples!
It was such a hit that even all of the adults did it, and even the teenagers that came home from school joined in on the fun!
That same day before the activity I was also able to meet up with 2 of my sisters with my mom who came up to stay at my house for her brother Daniel's funeral. He was 95 and had lived such a good life.
I was able to take my mom to Idaho for the funeral too, where we were able to see a lot of family that we hadn't seen in a while. That is the silver lining to funerals too. Getting to see all the people that you love.
We also took Kesslyn to see her friend Annie perform in the musical Descendants!
It was a fun time and I know it made Annie SO HAPPY to see Kesslyn cheering for her out in the crowd. ;)
So much good, and so much to be thankful for!

Raya Turns 3!

Our little Princess Raya is 3!!!
Raya celebrated her 3rd birthday by having a Moana party at the beach!
Her sweet momma planned everything just right for a fun celebration fit for any princess...and just look at that smile! Raya, I love you so much! I wish I could have been at your party, but I am glad you had so much fun and are getting SO BIG!!!
Happy Birthday Princess!

Rodney Turns 1!

Little Rodney turned 1 and we had a DINO-mite time celebrating this little dude!
I love that Kara and Carew threw a dinosaur party that reminded me so much of how much Carew loved dinosaurs when he was a little guy! ;)
It's so fun to see these little people growing and developing fun little personalities that make us smile and laugh and keep us on our toes!
Happy 1st Birthday Rodney!
You are Rawrsome!!!

I loved watching him blow out the candle! He had actually been practicing blowing the candle out, and it was so cute watching him taking his little puffs of air and blow! ;)
We were so entertained by lighting and relighting the candle and watching him blow it out over and over and over again! ;)

Rodney's little cousins Raelle and Willa also came to party with him!
Raelle LOVED him!!!
And although I am sad I don't have any better pictures, we went as a family to celebrate Kara and Rodney's birthday together at the Cross E Ranch!
We played yard games, saw the animals, played in the corn pit, went in the corn maze, and on a tractor ride, we ate dinner and sat around a cozy fire pit and had a really fun night.
I am SO grateful for family and all of the people we love and get to spend this mortal journey with!
I LOVE my family!
Happy birthday Kara and Rodney!
We love you!

An Hundred Fold of Thankfulness

In D&C 78:19 it says, “And he who receiveth all things with thankfulness shall be made glorious; and the things of this earth shall be added unto him, even an hundred fold, yea, more.”

The blessings in our life have forever felt like "an hundred fold" because of our perspective and understanding of WHERE all that is good comes from, AND having GRATITUDE makes every little good thing in life an acknowledged blessing...health, family, testimonies, temples and opportunities to go inside of them, cars, employment, relationships, technology, modern conveniences, laughter, the ability to feel the Spirit and grace and compassion, relationships that can be perpetuated beyond the grave...
I could go on and on, but be it sufficient to say that I feel an abundance of love and gratitude daily from Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ.

So Much Fun In October!

A couple of weekends ago, Julia took us on the adventure hike I had been wanting to go on for a long  time! This was the hot springs hike up the Spanish Fork Canyon - 5th Water Hike!
The view was beautiful and the weather was perfect since we were in the middle of October!
Waterfalls and the changing leaves, and being with people that we love...

We even discovered a fun little campsite by the river clos to where the hot springs were!
Kambriella on the rope swing.

The hot pools were amazing!!! The water got progressively hotter as you went further up the mountain...
It was a 5 mile round trip hike, and we spent a good amount of time relaxing in the warm water.
The waterfalls themselves were freezing, but a great way to cool down if you got too hot!

I heard people say while we were there that the water temperature varied between 90 and 120 degrees!
I'm so glad that Dallin and Julia wanted to take us with them on this hike!
It was a blast!

After spending ALL morning on the hike, we got home just in time to prepare for our ward Trunk or Treat!
We whipped together a competition pot of chili and one amazing trailer full of skeletons passing out doughnuts, along with some cool lights and fun Halloween tunes!
Carew, Kara, and Rodney were the Incredibles!
Kambriella and Kesslyn were a wizard and a cheerleader.
Clint was my date and I was a witch!
(Anything to not have to do my hair! ;)

My friend Laura was Patrick Star
I love her so much!
We didn't even know that Kesslyn's friend Kate was going to be a cheerleader too! :)
Clint and I also attended the musical play Little Women with our friend Rhett Butler as the star!
Sweet Kesslyn also gave a beautiful talk in primary about loving to learn the gospel and growing from Come Follow Me and messages from conference.
Clint and I went to the temple again this week! YAY!!!
And I even squished in ONE MORE hike at Mueller Park!
I went with my sister for an jour, and we both decided that we would take what we can get!
I'm not sure how much longer this beautiful weather will hang around, but I figured we will just enjoy it as long as we can!
I LOVE October!!!
