Summer Adventures

These summer days have been so full and so much fun...Carefree and full of family time together!
Ever since we have gotten home from our vacation we have felt like our summer was already complete! But there really is so much fun still ahead!
The Trickett's are going to soak it all in as best as we possibly can this fine summer!!! :)
We have gotten new bikes to ride, and spend time each week mowing the lawn...We go to the temple each week and try to keep a good balance of what we fill our time with...(Except that we can never have too much "together" time...:)
Dallin went to EFY (Especially For Youth camp) at BYU with his cousin Cohen...
...where they had a ball together growing spiritually while having a fun environment to do it in! Yippee!!! :)
We have had plenty of good service opportunities, like helping our neighbors move, and taking care of Bernice, our 100 year old neighbor!
We have gone on bike rides with friends, and family bike rides...
(and it's always fun when you end up getting ice-cream ON your bike ride!!! :)
We have played at parks and spent time with friends...
...we have said goodbye to missionaries leaving on their missions, and we have also welcomed some home...(and soon we will be welcoming home our very favorite missionary, Anziano Trickett!)
We've done service with friends, pulling weeds for a sister who broke her leg...
...and service at our cabin trying to keep the grounds under control...
We attended the swearing in of Riverton City's brand new independent police department where Yours Truly helped outfit their cars...:) (I'm so proud of this cutie!!!)
Kambriella got to go to a two day camp for Activity Days and had a ball!!!
Swimming, canoeing, shooting BB guns and doing all things FUN!!!
Gavin went to scout camp and still has a few more to go to ...
They went to Flaming Gorge and played and played and had a great time!!!
We have gone on many hikes, which is one of MY very favorite things to go do...
...exploring the mountains and paths and rivers and streams...
Hiking Bell's Canyon and Battle Creek Falls...
...finding our way to caves and waterfalls...
...finding more parks and exploring new places to play!!!
Going to the Bee's game and eating a Ball park hot dog to boot! ;)
...watching the Bee's mascot entertain the crowd (especially Dallin and Kambriella on the front row!)
Eating ice-cream out of baseball caps...:)
...playing dress up and Barbie's with the BEST dad EVER!!! :)
Trying to have QUALITY time together having fun AND talking about life and all of it's lessons...there are so many things to learn both individually AND as a family...
We've celebrated holidays and special days, and even our average days!!!
We went bowling on the 4th of July while it rained and rained outside...
...and although we ALL  tried our best, none of us could beat Clint! He is the reigning bowling champion of our family! ;) Although Kesslyn was getting pretty good with that Bumper Bowling...;)
We have gone out to eat and to the movies, and we have even taken Flat Carew with us to see some of his favorite movies!!!
We have met up with family that we love, eaten LOTS of ice-cream, and even filled our cheeks with gumballs. :) This summer has been amazing so far, and I can't wait until Monday when Clint and I leave for France and Italy!!! A summer of adventure is around EVERY corner!!!
I LOVE it!!! And I LOVE these peeps!

Already in July!

This was the last photo we took of our big family vacation this year! After all of the fun we had in Florida and on the cruise, it was finally time to head home and be responsible. :)
(But only for a minute! ;)
We said goodbye to Kierra at the airport where we parted ways and she flew home to Riley, and we went home to Utah. We have been busy everyday we've been home just trying to soak up as much together-time as we can before this amazing summer closes in on us! And that's the truth! I can't believe that we are already in July!
There is still so much good to be done, and fun to be had...in fact, today is the 4th of July! Independence Day!!! And we are busy once again being TOGETHER...our favorite place to be. :)
Happy Birthday America!!!
We love you, and we are so so grateful!

Doughnut Falls

Yesterday we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary!
We decided to do something that we love and went hiking up in the mountains.
We took the kids out to lunch at Subway and then hit the road up the Big Cottonwood Canyon to Doughnut Falls. It was a busy summer day with lots of people hiking, but we still enjoyed everything beautiful that was around us.
We explored the paths and even the water a little...
...and a little more for some who may have fell in...;)
But it always feels refreshing to get a little wet while on a hike, right?  :)
I loved seeing all of the tall trees and being surrounded by them ...
and both seeing and hearing the beautiful waterfalls...
Some of these pictures are my favorites because they have some of the most beautiful things with some of my favorite people. :)
 What a good Daddy...:)
This is Doughnut Falls, but we couldn't get too close to it with the little ones.
The only way to get to it was actually IN the water, and it was pretty swift, so we just admired the view.
Dallin and Gavin were not with us though because they tried to venture on a little in the water...but we eventually met back up.
I love this family of mine and that we could spend this quality time together on this special day.
After 25 years of building this family together, we have come a long way!
...and I'm excited for the things that lie ahead...
...especially my REAL celebration next week when Clint and I leave for Italy and France!
I know these kids will have a good time while we are gone too with their aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and grandparents. Like I said, we have the best family ever!
After our hike was over, Clint and I took the kids home where they spent the evening with movies and fun while Clint and I spent the night away with just the 2 of us.
I love this husband of mine more than anything and I am so so blessed!
