The Living Christ, Card #7

Here is card number 7 out of 15...Almost half way there!!!:)

 

I have been sitting down in the morning when I do my scripture study and reviewing these cards a little more in depth. At first, I could just memorize and rethink it all throughout the day...

But now, I really have to concentrate! The words are very beautiful, and pretty deep, so now that I am getting farther along with it, I have to really think hard to commit it to my memory.

I will sit with a blank piece of paper and write out everything that I have memorized up to that point and it helps me to see just where I need to focus. This is such a worthwhile and lofty goal. I am so thankful for my sweet friend who gave me this gift for Christmas and inspired me to try to reach this goal!

I think I can, I think I can!!! :)

The Living Christ #6

I am loving this challenge!

 I find myself stopping what I am doing in the middle of the day to sit and write down what I have memorized so far...I am moving along slowly but surely and feel like my efforts are going to bless my life more than I can imagine. I can feel my love for my Savior growing and my testimony being strengthened every step of the way.

It is wonderful :)

Valentine's Day is Everyday...

Clint and I had a discussion this morning about Valentine's Day.

 It's tomorrow and there always seems to come with it a little pressure as to what kind of gift to give each other.

Is there any gift on earth that can actually show just how much love we have for one another?

I think not.

Clint's feelings about Valentine's Day are from his heart...

He feels that every day should be Valentine's Day.

 Every day we should show each other just how much we love each other..

.every day we should do kind things for each other...every day we should give selflessly and unconditionally...

and that is exactly what he does.

As I watched this Mormon message the other day, I was reminded of my sweet husband.

His ultimate gift of love comes to me in so many ways, but I love the many ways that it is manifest through the way he loves our children, provides everything each day, and never thinks twice about where he wants to be or where his loyalties lie.

They are with me. They are with our children.

They are with our family.

Clint, I love you more than words can say. But thank you for being you...being honest, true, tender, genuine...fun, happy, always optimistic! ...Hard working, compassionate, considerate..."horsey," tickle monster, wrestling partner, and kissing monster :) We all love it...especially me.



The Living Christ ~ Card #5



It's been a month and I am a third of the way there!

It's getting a little harder to remember everything that comes before the next card that I start working on...but with a little faith, effort, prayer, and determination,

I WILL be able to memorize this important document! I just keep thinking...

"You can do it if you put your mind to it!"

(Of course I sing it to myself in a song! ;)
