This past weekend was so special as we loaded our family into the car and drove to Colorado to see Kierra and her family! It's been over a month since we had last seen Easton and everyone was so excited to see him again!!! He is SO big and SOOO sweet! :)
We left our house around 2:00 Friday afternoon and rolled in to our hotel near Denver around midnight. It felt so good to crash on the bed. We were all exhausted!
Then Saturday morning after meeting Riley's family for brunch, we drove to a beautiful place called the Garden of the Gods.
Our family thoroughly enjoys the great outdoors, (in particular hiking) and so we had a great time exploring and seeing all of the beautiful things that God has created for us.
We didn't get much past the entrance before everyone was scaling the walls and trying to get to the top of everything they saw!
Kesslyn was so cute as she watched all of the big kids climbing up so high, she was prepared to catch them when they were ready to jump down. ;)
They had a great time squeezing through tiny spaces and finding little crannies fit just for them!
It was a beautiful day and 65 degrees! We couldn't have asked for a better day to spend with our loved ones. It was so enjoyable.
Riley, Carew, and Dallin made it all the way through a tiny slot canyon and came out on this side of the rock face. They seemed so high up and so far away, but I could hear them perfectly because of the acoustics in the canyon...
I even got to take advantage of the moment and sneak a picture with my sweetie.
I love love love him!
And I know he loves me and I'm his favorite too... :)
Kierra and Riley are so good for each other and I really am so proud of how well they are learning and growing together. Easton is such a lucky little baby to have them for parents. They are leaps and bounds ahead of where we were when we were their age...
So very happy for them, and proud of them too.
Little Kesslyn had a great time too, and absolutely LOVES baby Easton! We actually came to Colorado for him, for his baby blessing, and she was literally in love with him!
This picture right here though...this is one of my favorites, it literally melts my heart. There is nothing but love oozing out of this picture!!! Just look at all of those cuties!!!
It was a gorgeous day, and a gorgeous view...
...and the view on the ride home was breathtaking, not to mention the beautiful sunset! ;)
Just look at heaven touching the earth...
...and those beautiful Colorado skies that so many love songs are written about...
It was a perfect evening with my favorite people.
After the hiking we met up for dinner for Mexican and visited the rest of the night away.
So grateful for Kierra and Riley and Easton and the path they are heading down.
You know it, it's the straight and narrow one. :)
Love you so much!
