By What You "Do"

One of the ways we show people we love them is not only by what we "say" but by what we "do."
I am finally telling Clint "I love you" by helping him to get his new office decorated!
But lucky for me, HE is ALWAYS showing me he loves me by "doing" kind things for me EVERY day. Like when he gets home from work and finds me first for a hug and a kiss, or when he picks up my poor tired feet and rubs them every night. I know I am loved, and I know Clint knows it too!
I can't wait until Saturday! It's off to Turks and Caicos with my sweetheart!!!
CAN"T WAIT!!!

From Kesslyn:
"Mommy, I made you a picture. It's your favorite.
You and Daddy are going on a date!"
She knows me sooo well. ;)

Dallin Goes to Sweethearts!

Saturday was the Sweetheart's Dance and Dallin's friend Alyssa asked him to go. They had a fun all day long going axe throwing,  having dinner and taking pictures before the dance, and then games and hot tubbing after the dance. It makes me so happy and grateful that my children have good friends. Lots of good friends! My heart goes out to kids who don't have many friends, and so I've always tried to encourage my kids to be a friend to everyone, and to look for people who need a friend. I think that is one of the reasons why they have so many.
Anyways...if you will notice in the picture above, in the window on the right we have a photo bomber...
...and in the window on the left we have a photo bomber...
...and in the window above the door we have a photo bomber!!!
These kids!!!
They think they are SO funny! But, they take after their dad, and really they pretty much are. :)

My Valentine~My Best Friend

Valentine's day this year was a hit with Kambriella's homemade Camera Valentine's Box! She had a boy named Tyler ask her to be "his" valentine, and so she was even pampered with roses and a box of chocolates. :)
I received chocolate covered strawberries from a friend, a hand made hot pad, a late Christmas present, and my favorite...
a date with Clint. :)
We treated ourselves to a fine dining dinner reservation at the Wild Rose. It was a neat place with live music, lights and candles, yummy food, and all of the time in the world to talk. :)
Clint had steak and lobster, and I had pork tenderloin with a Hawaiian salsa glaze. Yum!
For dessert they served us a heavenly piece of chocolate cake. (That we could not finish!;)
And we were literally the last people in the restaurant. It was so nice to just sit and talk and talk and not get interrupted by any little people. Ever. :)
I love my Valentine and am REALLY looking forward to the weekend with him where we will be catching a plane and heading to Turks and Caicos!!!
A heavenly vacation with my sweet hubby. My very best friend!

Preschool Parties and Field Trips

Today was fun for me as I got to go and be a helper for Kesslyn's preschool Valentine party!
These are cute kids and I love Miss Shayla, she is such a good teacher!
I also got to accompany Kesslyn on a field trip to the library yesterday! It was so fun to watch her learning and exploring and realizing that you CAN talk in the library, just not really LOUD. :)
We ended up playing games together and reading and checking out some books to take home.
It was a fun time with my littlest angel. :)
I love you Kesslyn!

#22 ~ Happy Birthday Kierra!

This is one of my very favorite pictures of my girls! So beautiful and big bright smiles...it's hard to believe that my baby Kierra is 22 years old today!
I love everything about her and am so proud of  where she is at in her life ~ right where she has always wanted to be!
Living her very own "happily forever after" being married to her best friend and now being a momma to the sweetest little hunk of chunk!
Happy Birthday my sweet girl. I love you so!

Time With People I Love

I'm thankful that I have such a sweet mom. :)
She came into town for the week to have a check up at the doctor's and we got to keep her with us at our house for 5 days. It's always a treat to have some extra special time with the people that you love!
She enjoyed trying to be "good luck" for Kambriella and Gavin at their basketball games, and even though they didn't win, we felt lucky she was there anyways. ;)
We also enjoyed a date night with our long time friends Natalie and Bryan. It was fun to catch up, and I'm so grateful for good friendships too! They mean the world to me!

Lolli & Pops

Yesterday I had the most amazing experience!!!
I was walking through the mall (I was there to help my mom get to the Apple store for her phone) when I happened upon the most AMAZING store called
"Lolli & Pops!"
I. Was. Dying!!!
Lolli is MY name!!! And Clint is Pops!!!
That's right! There is actually a store with OUR names that we are having our grandchildren call us! This made me SO excited for all of the fun things and little traditions that I can create with something so fun and unique...it's something that we can call "our own."
I loved the thought of being called "Lolli" and NOW I have some awesome and sweet tools at my fingertips that will be sure to help these sweet little people feel EXTRA special!
Lolli and Pops are "Purveyors of  Sweetness" which is exactly what I intend to be!!!
Yippee!!!
Love, Lolli
XOXOXOXO

Easton's Blessing Day

 How do you spell LOVE???
F.  A.  M.  I.  L.  Y!!!!
I absolutely LOVE this sweet FAMILY of mine!!!
On Sunday February 2nd 2020,  Easton Joseph Johnson was blessed by his father Riley and his uncles and grandpas. It was a beautiful blessing full of the spirit and I am so grateful we were able to be there with Kierra and Riley for it!
Easton was such a good boy during the blessing and never made a peep. He's a binky baby that's for sure!!!
Kesslyn loves her big sister and adores baby Easton!
It was fun to have some of the grandparents together...Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Trickett, Lolli and Pop Trickett, and Grandma and Grandpa Johnson.
Isn't it crazy how big this Bubba is?? He's 15 pounds at 2 months old and I'm certain he will tower over all of his uncles one day! (At least on the Trickett side. ;)
After we took a bunch of family photos, we enjoyed visiting and eating lunch together, and I enjoyed snuggling a sleeping baby Easton before we had to get back on the road home to Utah.
It was a gorgeous drive through the mountains home and sunny weather. We were so grateful for the time we got to spend together over the weekend too.
Heavenly Father has been so good to us, and despite stresses and the daily trials of life, I have nothing but gratitude and appreciation for the eternal blessings and gifts that Heavenly Father has seen fit to bless us with. These are the things that matter most, and that will last forever.

A Weekend In Colorado

This past weekend was so special as we loaded our family into the car and drove to Colorado to see Kierra and her family! It's been over a month since we had last seen Easton and everyone was so excited to see him again!!! He is SO big and SOOO sweet! :)
We left our house around 2:00 Friday afternoon and rolled in to our hotel near Denver around midnight. It felt so good to crash on the bed. We were all exhausted!
Then Saturday morning after meeting Riley's family for brunch, we drove to a beautiful place called the Garden of the Gods.
Our family thoroughly enjoys the great outdoors, (in particular hiking) and so we had a great time exploring and seeing all of the beautiful things that God has created for us.
We didn't get much past the entrance before everyone was scaling the walls and trying to get to the top of everything they saw!
Kesslyn was so cute as she watched all of the big kids climbing up so high, she was prepared to catch them when they were ready to jump down. ;)
They had a great time squeezing through tiny spaces and finding little crannies fit just for them!
It was a beautiful day and 65 degrees! We couldn't have asked for a better day to spend with our loved ones. It was so enjoyable.
Riley, Carew, and Dallin made it all the way through a tiny slot canyon and came out on this side of the rock face. They seemed so high up and so far away, but I could hear them perfectly because of the acoustics in the canyon...
I even got to take advantage of the moment and sneak a picture with my sweetie.
 I love love love him!
And I know he loves me and I'm his favorite too... :)
Kierra and Riley are so good for each other and I really am so proud of how well they are learning and growing together. Easton is such a lucky little baby to have them for parents. They are leaps and bounds ahead of where we were when we were their age...
So very happy for them, and proud of them too.
Little Kesslyn had a great time too, and absolutely LOVES baby Easton! We actually came to Colorado for him, for his baby blessing, and she was literally in love with him!
This picture right here though...this is one of my favorites, it literally melts my heart. There is nothing but love oozing out of this picture!!! Just look at all of those cuties!!!
It was a gorgeous day, and a gorgeous view...
...and the view on the ride home was breathtaking, not to mention the beautiful sunset! ;)
Just look at heaven touching the earth...
...and those beautiful Colorado skies that so many love songs are written about...
It was a perfect evening with my favorite people.
After the hiking we met up for dinner for Mexican and visited the rest of the night away.
So grateful for Kierra and Riley and Easton and the path they are heading down.
You know it, it's the straight and narrow one. :)
Love you  so much!
