A Trip to Colorado for the Home Run Derby!

This summer we did something that we have never done before!
We took our family on a road trip to Colorado to watch the MLB Home Run Derby!!!

And not only did we take our family, we surprised Dallin and took his best friend Jordyn with us! :)
We left early and listened to our ward's church services in the car while we were driving.
We planned out our route, and had packed our coolers for a picnic at a beautiful waterfall!
We enjoyed a yummy lunch together and had fun walking around and exploring the beauties that surrounded us.
I think everyone had a great time.
I love this family of mine and feel so blessed to have days like these where we get to spend so much undivided time together!
Annnd.... It was so much fun to take my sister and her family with us on our trip!
It was over her birthday, and it was our gift to her. :)
We stayed in the most beautiful house in Rifle, which is a little ski town, and the sunrise every morning was so beautiful!
I would wake up early and sit on the porch with Colby (who is also an early riser) every morning just to see the breathtaking view...
The kids all had a great time playing together, sitting in the hot tub, and just laughing and enjoying the time together.
One morning Clint and me, Tiffany, and Colby all drove over to the little ski resort to see if we could ride the lift, but it was closed. BUT...the crepe shop was open! :)
Here is Tiffany and Kesslyn ON Tiffany's birthday!
We ate at Chik-fil A before heading to the baseball stadium!
Being at Coors Field was super cool!
The party vibe was everywhere!
There were so many of the teams mascots there that we tried to get pictures with as many as we could!
The Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Reds
The Colorado Rockies
Opening ceremonies at Coors Field for the Home Run Derby!
The stands were PACKED!!!!
SOOOO many people, and some smoke still in the sky from all of the fires burning.
My beautiful sister, and Kambriella,
Happy 43rd birthday Tiffany!
Xaxton, Gavin, Dallin, and Jordyn
Clint and Colby
And yet another beautiful sunrise!
This was our last day there, but we had to squish in as much fun as possible, so we stopped at a place called Glenwood Adventure Park and rode the gondola up the mountain!
Once we were all up at the top we saw the most amazing heights!
Crazy thrill rides that flipped out over the edge of the high mountain that we did NOT go on.
We DID however go inside some caves on little tours.
And we did see the entire town of Glenwood from the very top of the mountain!
The view was incredible, but I was also very grateful for the safety of the guard rail since I'm a little scared of heights!
It was SO high!
The caves were super fun to be in, especially when it started to rain outside!
Jordyn and Dallin
Xaxton and Gavin ;)
We even did a little "panning for gold" at the end.
We actually bought a pre-filled bag and let the little girls find the treasures, and boy did that make Kesslyn happy!!!
What an adventure we had in Colorado!
Thank you Clint for spoiling our family and taking us to do all of these fun things!
We are so lucky and blessed to have such a loving and generous person like you at the head of our family.
We love you!

Happy To Serve

"When ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God."
My sweet kiddos are always so good to help out wherever they are needed, and I love that about each of them! Here they are babysitting Nora and Sam...
..helping people move...

This is one of my favorite pictures of some of our neighborhood friends that came to help my dear friend Maggi with her move...Kit Hansen, and Kat Gibson..
Our very own "Kit Kat!"
My organizational skills helped to get sooo much into a tiny little storage unit! Woohoo!
Maggi even gave Kambriella some shoes that were too little for her granddaughter to my Kambriella, and she felt so special!
We have also served in our neighborhood for multiple events like bike rallys, carnivals, holiday events, and more, but it is always fun to see all of the smiles, especially after we have helped someone become a little more HAPPY.
We love creating and sharing SMILES!
Just Serve!

4th of July 2021

Our 4th of July celebration lasted all weekend long this year!
We traveled to Mountain Green to Clint's sister Laura's house where we had a Trickett family barbeque!
We enjoyed lots of yummy food, and lots of fun yard games...
..and lots of visiting with family!
Clint and I won the couples competition of cornhole, and teased everyone that they got beat by a grandma and a grandpa! Ha! ;)
We also went up to the cabin and spent the night.
We always love going there because it is a great getaway from the noise of the world.
When we go to the cabin it feels like there isn't a care in the world.
We lit our sparklers and played lots of games...
We couldn't set off any real fireworks though because of the major drought we have had this year.
(Too much of a fire hazard)
But that didn't stop us from having fun!
I love this family of mine soooo much!
Everyday I feel blessed to have these people with me to laugh with, learn from, and continue to grow with and love.
They are like diamonds in the night sky, especially the night sky when we are up at the cabin!
Oh how they sparkle and shine!

Thank you Heavenly Father for this free land that we love!
Thank you for every blessing...down to the last little one! ;)

Our 27th Anniversary!

This year Clint and I celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary!

I loved the Secret Lake hike that I took the kids on so much, that we decided to go out and hike it again on our anniversary!
(We even saw the same moose as we did with the kids, but this time it was off the side of the road.)
We played tic tac toe on a cool tree stump that we found and used rocks for our X's and O's.
(Which also double for hugs and kisses as you know.;)
Which we made sure to get in plenty of those!
There were so many beautiful views to see on the way up, and also at the lake.
But one of my very favorite parts of our hike, was when we found 2 rocks to sit on by the lake.
We sat and ate snacks, and even watched some squirrels trying to get close enough to steal a nut,
and we sat and talked and talked and talked.
We reminisced about a lot of our marriage memories that we have made over the last 27 years...
..and believe me, there are a million good ones.
Of course some hard and bad ones too, but the joy and the gratitude for all the good in life will always overshadow the bad.
After some lunch and a drive we made our way to Park City where we always love staying at Hotel Park City!
This time we stayed in a cottage suite overlooking the golf course with a hot tub on the patio. It was SO nice and relaxing and of course BEAUTIFUL!
We ate at Ruth's Chris Steak House for our dinner and even was treated to a couple of free desserts to celebrate with!
The next morning before we had to go back home, we drove over to the ski resort and rode the lift up to the Alpine Slide!
You will never believe this, but GUESS WHAT??
We RACED down the mountain...
..and I WON!!!
Happy Anniversary Clint! :)
I LOVE YOU!!!
