Thanksgiving in St. George

Thanksgiving 2021 was a good one, spent with my mom down in Mesquite and  St. George area.
My sister Tiffany and her family, my mom, and us went to Chuck-A-Rama for a different kind of Thanksgiving feast that was soooo delicious without any of the prep work or cleanup!
We went hiking before we pigged out, ;) and we swam in the pool and sat in the hot tub at our airbnb, we played pickle ball, we went to Tuacahn's Christmas in the canyon and ate churros, rode on a train, watched a live nativity on the Tuacahn stage, and looked at lots of beautiful Christmas lights too.
I am always so grateful for my family and feel so blessed to have such cherished memories of time together. My mom, sister, and I also went black Friday shopping which was mostly fun because it was just us girls together. I LOVE these times!

Christmas Decorations

Yes, this year I put up Christmas before Thanksgiving! It's such a big job and I love to enjoy it throughout the entire holiday season I love the feeling in my home with the glimmer of light everywhere...and I like to document it here so I can look back next year to see where to put everything!

Friends Forever

Friends FOREVER...
This is my amazing group of friends from left to right:
Me, Veralynn, Natalie, Theresa, and Shelly
We became friends about 22 years ago when we all served together in the Primary presidency in the Roy 18th ward. We went through so much together, that we are bonded for life.
On November 19th, 2021 we all met with our husbands and had a dinner date at Twigs restaurant at the Farmington Station where we laughed and laughed and laughed!
I am so grateful for these girls...and for Kesslyn's sweet "grateful" picture that she made at school! 1st grade, age 6.

Veteran's Day Celebration

For Veteran's Day, our neighborhood planned and put together a celebration to honor all the veterans in our neighborhood. We had a chili cook off (Clint took 3rd place and it was his 1st time ever making homemade chili ;), we had cornbread and desserts, yard games, and a beautiful display of about 20 Veteran posters (made by Clint's graphic company, Artistic Sign Design) that went all the way down the lane. People had a great time learning more about all the people in our neighborhood, and visiting with one another. It was a great success!
(The first picture below is Joe Giles, a wonderful man in our neighborhood and ward, who is also a patriarch and was the one who gave Dallin his patriarchal blessing!)
