Gift of Time ~ The Snowed Inn

On Wednesday December 22nd, we made a trip to the mall to get photos with Santa!
Why is it that little kids are scared of the guy who brings them all their presents?? ;)
Later that evening, Santa sent us on another Gift of Time, this time to the Snowed Inn in Park City where we get to ride a horse drawn sleigh up the mountain to a cozy restaurant, with yummy food and roaring fireplaces and live music. The amazing feeling of tradition and togetherness is what we love about going there...That and their hot cider! ;)
On the ride back down the mountain, our cowboy let Kambriella up in the driver's seat with him She  LOVED it of course! It was a special, memorable night!

Gift of Time - Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point

For part of our Gift of Time this year, Santa sent our family to see the Christmas Lights (Luminaria) at Thanksgiving Point! Each of the 5 senses is stimulated at this beautiful place,...the sound of Christmas music and people laughing, the smell of the peppermint forest, the colorful lights that you see, the tasty hot chocolate, and the feel of the crisp air all around you...it is a beautiful place, especially in the Light of the World garden with the statues of Christ.
He is the reason for the season, and the reason for our joy.

Raya's Blessing & Trickett Family Christmas Party

On Sunday, December 19th Raya Eve Johnson was blessed by her daddy, Riley Drew Johnson, in the Riverton 15th ward, Summerhill Stake, Riverton, Utah.
What a beautiful baby! What a beautiful day! Kierra and Riley have been living in Texas, but had come to spend 3 weeks with us for Christmas, and it was the perfect opportunity to bless the baby and have family there to be a part of it.
Riley's family was able to come over after the blessing and visit and share some treats.
This was also the day of the Trickett family Christmas party, which was hosted up in Ogden by Curt and Sara Trickett at Sara's mom's wedding venue Bellington Manor.
Sara always does a beautiful job at making our parties fun and beautiful. We have such a talented family! After dinner and a white elephant gift exchange, we walked through the Christmas lights at the Christmas Village in Ogden. It was a happy day to cherish sweet memories with our family.

Playing In the Snow

Of course it wouldn't be Christmas without playing in the snow, so as soon as we got a snow storm Kambriella and Kesslyn headed out to build a snowman!
Unfortunately the snow was too powdery and so it wouldn't pack, so they decided to make snow angels instead.
I served them hot cocoa and they played and played until it was dark, and they were cold and ready to come in.
