Our sweet little Kesslyn LOVES Activity Days! They always do fun activities, and this month they painted their very own copy cover of the Book of Mormon. She was so excited to show us all what she had done, and especially to something that was already so meaningful to her. It's beautiful Kesslyn, just like you! Don't forget tofind the beautiful truths that are inside that book too! :)
On March 2nd, 2024, Clint's dad married Jill Dunford. I was so happy for the two of them. They both had lost their sweethearts, and now they don't have to go through this life alone anymore. Jill is a sweet, fun, and happy person to be around, and I am excited to get to know her better.
I was also very happy and proud to have my sweetie perform their marriage ceremony. He did an amazing job with his presentation and his words, and I think it made the day a little more sweet for everyone there.
Also, an added surprise was when my little grandson Rodney brought up the ring that grandpa had "forgot" so he could give it to Jill. :)
I also LOVE when my family gets together for Sunday dinner! Having all the people I love surrounding me is one of my absolute favorite things. The only way it would be better is if Kierra and her family were close enough to be there too!
March also marked the end of the Jr. Jazz basketball season, and Gavin's team went undefeated the entire season, making it to the championship game that was SO CLOSE ending in a double over time loss of just 1 basket. It was a sad day for them, but as a mom I was still SO proud. We even had the whole family there to cheer Gavin and his friends on! Rodney was the cutest little cheerleader too!
Coach Anna came to cheer on the boys too! She was Gavin's assistant tennis coach and we LOVE her!!!
March was also when I hosted a bridal shower for one of my dear young women friends who is all grown up and ready to marry her best friend! Congratulations Hannah Blaylock!
My sweet boy Carew also turned 25 on March 16th, 2024 and we all celebrated with him by going to Teppanyaki for his birthday dinner, followed by cake, ice cream, and games at his house afterward.
We love you Carew! Happy Birthday!
Spring Break also fell during March, and we had planned a fun Senior trip for Gavin and his best cousin Drake to celebrate their senior year together! We drove to California and stayed at the Welk Resort in Escondido. It was a fun week of Escape rooms, farmer's markets, swimming, surfing, shopping, food tasting, frisbee golf, exploring, late nights, Knott's Berry Farm, the beach, and Gavin even received his mission call while we were there!!! It was an amazing and memorable week for sure...I'll just let the pictures do the talking! ;)
We ended our Spring Break Senior trip by stopping to visit my mom on the way home. She is so sweet and such a light and it was so good to see her. It was the BEST Spring Break!!!!
On Sunday night when we got home from our Spring Break trip, Gavin invited all of his friends to come over to our house to hear him read his mission call...
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints and to labor in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo East mission!!!! Gavin will be speaking the Spanish language and will report on July 1st, 2024!!!
WE LOVE YOU GAVIN!!!!
The week after our trip to California was our REAL spring break from school, so lucky for us, we had another whole week to begin our Easter week long celebration with our family!
This year, I decided to take the family to Cafe Galleria in Midway and have dinner in an Alpenglobe which represented an "empty tomb" like the one Jesus was laid in. We ate a yummy dinner and I read 2 Easter stories about the Resurrection and then everyone shared their testimonies. I had an amazing time, and I think everyone else did too!
Then, just a few days later we celebrated Dallin's 21st birthday!!! He wanted a demi-gorgon cake from Stranger Things, and that was what I made or him! He loved it!
We actually spent the entire day moving Dallin and Julia out of their first apartment into a home in American Fork. It was a long and busy day, and we ended it with a yummy dinner at Joe's Crab Shack! They helped us to celebrate Dallin in a fun way...;)
Happy Birthday Dallin!!! We love you!!!
Our little artist Kesslyn drew the cutest picture of the Easter bunny...
We had our traditional Jerusalem dinner to celebrate Christ and the last supper...
We also went to church as a family on Easter Sunday (like we do every Sunday ;) and felt close to Him and grateful for all of His love and mercy. Because of Him, we have EVERYTHING and EVERYONE we need for forever. I'm so grateful for my testimony and understanding of my Savior's role in my life and His unconditional love for me and all of my brothers and sisters everywhere...
so grateful and so blessed!
This last picture is just a simple snapshot of me and Kesslyn while we were out on our Easter walk. Every year we go out on a walk where we look for things that symbolize the life, death, crucifixion, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ...truly, it's all good... because of Him!
