A Daddy Daughter Date Never to Forget!

Dear Daddy, I may find my price someday, but you will ALWAYS be my king! :)
Kambriella and Clint went to their Daddy Daughter Date last night for the activity day girls and it stole both of their hearts and completely melted mine into a puddle!!!
After having the homemade invitation hanging on the board for a couple of weeks, the night had finally come for the 2 of them to wear their Sunday best and go to dinner, dancing, and a fun night out together. :)
All of the little girls sat on their dad's laps for a photo of course, but then Clint and Kambriella just had to throw in an extra laugh and get one of Daddy on Kambriella's lap too!
They both admitted that THEY won the dance competition! :)
(Although technically there was NO competition except the one that they had made up in their heads as they threw in some "drop to the floor JAZZ Bear splits" and other high levels of difficulty in their fancy shmancy dance moves...;)
Oh if I could have been a fly on the wall!!! :)  :)  :)
They ate spaghetti for dinner and donned homemade Hershey Kiss boutonniere's and corsages...
...and not only did Kambriella and Clint have an amazing time, but I heard that EVERY little girl there felt like a princess, and I can see why!!!
They ate fancy heart shaped cakes and cookies and danced the night away...
When the 2 of them returned back home, Kambriella was even more attached to her daddy than she was before they left! Kesslyn was a little heart broken that she did not get to go on the date, but hey, so was I and so we commiserated together while we went around driving the boys to and from basketball practice. ;)
But honestly, I could not have been more excited for them or more pleased with the awesome time that they had together! EVERY little girl needs a daddy to love them and to look up to...someone to pattern after who they will find in a future husband one day...and Kambriella and all of my girls for that matter have the BEST example EVER!!! What an amazing night! :)

Surrounded By People I Love

Yesterday was an awesome day filled with people that I love. :)
After seeing all my friends at early morning aerobics, I got to take Clint out to lunch with Kesslyn, and then we visited "grandma" Bernice as Kesslyn calls her.
She LOVES "Grandma" and kept climbing up on her and smothering her with affection.
I was just dying and could have sat there and watched the 2 of them all day!  ;)...
We also saw Gavin and Kambriella at the elementary school for Gavin's STEM fair. We saw all kinds of friends we love there, kids and moms alike...
...but I think Gavin was by far Kesslyn's favorite person to see there! :)
She would NOT let him put her down!!! (And all the girls around thought it was soooo cute! )
Gavin did a great job and I was very proud of him and all the knowledge he shared with people about his experiment in engineering! He made homemade charcoal filters and filtered different types of dirty water AND juices bought from the store! (But none of us were brave enough to actually try drinking them. ;)
We also went to dance, a basketball game (where Gavin scored half the team's points AND earned the team ball for the 2nd time now!) ~and Clint took Dallin and the Teachers to the temple to do baptisms! It was really a day filled with meaningful things. I was happy to be surrounded by such good PEOPLE! I really feel blessed to have such good relationships that lift me, build me, and help me each day to become a better person...especially that SWEET SWEET family of mine!!!

P.S.
Today Riley turns 25! Happy Birthday Riley!!!
Happy birthday to my newest son...the one who can squat lower than anyone I've ever seen over 6 feet tall while balancing on one foot🤣, makes the tallest snow angels I've ever seen, and makes my daughter happier than she's ever been before! Riley, we sure love you! Have a fabulous birthday!🎂🍦❤😘

Pumpkin~ Survival Food

My sweet friend Emily showed up at my door yesterday with a plate full of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies, and a homemade pumpkin pie. :) She KNOWS that pumpkin is my favorite! And this picture is just to show that YES, the cookies are already gone, and the pie...it's almost there. :) And YES, my children are teaching their baby sister bad habits like eating cookies for dinner and spraying the can of whip cream directly into your mouth. :) Yep. That's right! But hey, treats are like survival food when it's STEM fair time...kind of like the reward for the work that you really don't want to do...it works! It's motivation for EVERYONE! :)
Thanks for the love Emily! ;) Happy Wednesday! :)

Love of My Life

 Valentine's Day is in 7 days. :)
Clint and I are leaving just the 2 of us to go to Mexico in 18 days. :) :)
He is my heart throb and the love of my life and I CANNOT wait!!!
Also,
This picture was taken a few years ago on our anniversary up Bell's Canyon at our favorite heart rock . :)
...and just the other day, Clint took off his wedding ring to put lotion on Kesslyn and forgot to put it back on. Now his ring is missing, but I told him not to worry, I have prayed we will find it. :)
And we will. :)

Nothing Else Matters

Yesterday was the Sabbath Day, my favorite day of the week! I love spending the entire day with my favorite people and feeling the rejuvenation and peace of our day of rest. Heavenly Father was so wise in giving us this day since every other day of the week is life at full speed...
But Sunday is different and special and I love it. We even went for a little drive down to the pond to see the ducks (since it was 60 degrees) and to collect some pond water for part of Gavin's STEM fair project that he's working on. But while we were there, I had the very distinct feeling that nothing else in the world mattered right at that moment. It was almost as if time stood still and all I was supposed to do was look at this family of mine and smile.
And so that's what I did. :) It was a great day. :)

This Ride Called "Life"

Yesterday was such a fun day with Kesslyn eagerly and happily helping me
put away our Christmas decorations!!! FINALLY!!! ;) Together we listened to probably a dozen conference talks given from President Russell M. Nelson while we worked away in the kitchen!
I smiled wide each time one would come to an end and Kesslyn would stop whatever she was doing and say "A-MEN!"

Then, after a long day of work, we went to the elementary school to watch Gavin's 6th grade performance called "Dig It!" It was such a fun show!
Gavin and some of his good friends were all dressed up for the part of "Asians" in the play
...they did a great job! :)
The performance was actually pretty entertaining!
They sang and danced, and sang some more...
...it was so entertaining that Kesslyn even sat through the whole thing! :)
...and the minute we got home, Kesslyn begged Gavin to take her for a ride on his hover board!
It is one of her FAVORITE things to do!
We even made a fun video for Carew to see on his mission since he hasn't gotten to see his baby sister in almost 5 months!!! I know how much he loves her and how much joy that simple 30 second clip will mean to him! We sure miss our buddy, but are so happy at what he is doing...
Blessings are pouring down upon us EVERYWHERE!!! I LOVE this ride called life! :)

It's My Ber~day

This is sweet baby Kesslyn.
She used to be so tiny but now she is getting too big!!!
Yesterday we took Clint to lunch like we do every Wednesday, and she said the funniest thing!
She got a prize with her meal, and quickly handed it to her daddy and said,
"Open my pesent..it's my ber-day!"
Clint and I laughed and laughed since her birthday isn't until August! It's so fun to see these little ones grow up and become who they are...and I'm so glad they are mine!
