Ok, here goes!
I'm going to try and give a recap of one of the best weekends of my entire life!
I decided it was about time I take my daughter Kierra on a one on one trip to Magnolia Farms in Waco, Texas! Our schedules were lining up perfectly for both of us to sneak away while the majority of our family was going to be busy with other things...Army training, Youth Conference activities...and Dad could take care of Kesslyn. :)
I hopped on a plane, rented a car (BY MYSELF!) and picked up Kierra and her littles and we headed off to Waco for a weekend full of fun!
The cute little Airbnb that we stayed in was a cute little farmhouse in the BU (Baylor University) Bubble. Because it was SO cute and farm like, it felt like Joanna Gaines had invited us to stay there herself. Raya loved it, but so did everyone!!!
There was even a private hot tub in the yard where Kierra and I spent our evenings talking late into the night...
We decided that we would start off our first day at Magnolia by going to the Magnolia Table restaurant!
My friend that went here before me said that the wait was always too long and they never did make it into the restaurant...
Being there, even on the outside was SO FUN!
It just felt FUN!
And of course once we got inside it was even MORE FUN because now not only were our eyes being entertained, but ALL of our senses were taking it in!
The sights and the smells and the TASTES were divine! :)
This was the tile work on the floor right inside the restaurant...SO COOL!
After we filled our tummies we drove over to the Silos!
Again, lucky for us...Joanna was there!!!
We didn't even plan on seeing Chip or Joanna, but she was actually right there in the Silos Barn filming a baking competition!
It was SO fun to see her in person, and just watch and admire all the neat things that she has done...
Everything there was beautiful!
(Especially this cute baby! ;)
Cool old cars and lots of fun photo ops...
..Food Trucks and treats everywhere...
There was even a big open area for cornhole and games, and Easton even made a new friend. :)
Going in the shops was SO FUN!
Looking in antique shops was SO FUN!
Going in the Bakery was...SO FUN!!!!!
Kierra and I both ordered a breakfast biscuit on our second day there, with a side of a half dozen cupcakes too. ;)
Kierra was also being SUCH a good momma and even let Easton splurge and have cupcakes for breakfast!!!
He was in heaven!!! :)
And so were we!!!
After we finished up at the Silos we took a walk over to the Dr. Pepper Museum!
It was fun looking at all of the neat things in the museum, and we even got a free Dr. Pepper at the end too!
I ran back to the shops at the Silos while Kierra gave the kids a nap so that I could pick up a couple of small souvenirs...
Then later that day we went and took the kids on a walk down by the river. We also found this cute little playground where we spent a little time letting them play and get out there wiggles before we had a long car ride and airplane ride home the next day.
It was beautiful, it was fun, it was living a dream and checking something off of our bucket list together, but most of all, it was treasured time with my sweet daughter that I loved!
It taught me that I need to do this more often too. ;)
Thank you Kierra for coming on this adventure with me! And thank you Clint for sending us there. We couldn't have done this without you!
I am one lucky girl!!!!
