Thankful For February's

Gavin and Meagan went to the Sweethearts dance at the beginning of February and made the cutest couple! I had so much fun taking Gavin shopping for those awesome red NIKE's! :)
Everything seemed to be a little more special and have a little extra meaning behind it knowing that it would be the last of it's kind for my graduating senior boy...

We were also able to go to quite a few more track meets for Gavin and Kambriella, this particular one was held at the Olympic Oval which made for a very fun and special atmosphere.

Even Uncle Curt and Aunt Sara were able to join us for cheering on our girl!
February is also the month of LOVE, and so in honor of the holiday, and the memory of Grandma Trickett, the Trickett's had dinner and a cookie decorating party where we got together and decorated some of Granma's sugar cookies from her original recipe, cookie paint and all!
Dallin and Julia came...
Sweet Kesslyn...
Cute Kambriella...
and Best cousins, Drake and Gavin...
Gavin joined in on a young single adult activity...Ice-cream at Brookers!!!

Also in February, I hosted a sister day for all the girls. We had fun, dipping strawberries, making cookies, and even doing pedicures! It was a fun day!

(And THIS is what happens to the dad when he gets home from work to find everyone relaxing and getting their pedicures!  ;)
We also went to the Hale Center Theater in February with Grandpa and Jill. We have season tickets and get to go to all the fun performances as a family. We love it! Plus it gives us extra time with Grandpa and Jill. :)

More track meets with our very favorite high jumper, Gavin! :)

On Tammy's birthday I was able to meet together with my sister in laws and Jim's fiance' Jill and her two daughters. It was so nice to get together over a nice lunch in Bountiful at Plates and Palates with all the girls and just talk and spend a little time getting to know each other. I really like Jill and her girls! They are really good, down to earth, kind people. I know it is a hard transition for everyone, but I am genuinely happy for Jim and Jill both to have someone to love and be companions with.

February was also the amazing month that Clint and I took our well earned Sound Off trip to sunny Cancun Mexico! This was the first time ever that we were able to bring 2 extra people with us, and so with it being a big year for both of them, we decided to invite Jim and Gavin! A Grandpa/Grandson duo! Clint's da is getting married and thinking about retiring, and Gavin is graduating and getting ready to leave on a mission. What a fun opportunity for them to get to celebrate and see Clint being honored with the award of Sound Off Distributor of the Year!
Touring the hotel...

The two "Seniors" having a little nap on the van ride to our excursion! :)

Dressed up for a nice dinner!
Gavin LOVED eating at our all inclusive resort where he could order as many dinners as his heart desired!
We went on a guided cave tour that was underground and in the water - I believe it's called spelunking! It was SO fun and I'm SO glad that we went!

Last but not least, we had a leap day this year! On February 29th, after our amazing trip to Cancun, Clint and I went to the Bountiful temple for our date night. I love this man SO MUCH, and I love the Lord and His Holy house. My heart is overflowing with gratitude for the amazing people in my life and the countless blessings that we see and experience. I am so thankful for February's!
P.S. In case you were wondering, Clint had some sun spots burned off of his face, and that's why all the band aids. We've got to keep him healthy to be around with me for a long long time, right? ;)

January Happenings

Since we spent Christmas in Hawaii, I had to come back and take pictures of our decorations that we enjoyed all season long even though we weren't home for Christmas. I LOVE decorating for Christmas and always try to record what I put up so it makes it easier for the next year. ;)

I also had to add this photo of my best friend Nicky and I from Dallin and Julia's wedding! She ALWAYS picks me up! ;)
Our sweet little grandson Rodney was also blessed in January!
It was a beautiful winter day and Carew did a great job blessing his son. It feels so good to watch our family grow in love and unity in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are SO BLESSED and I am SO THANKFL!!!

January was also when Gavin began his papers for becoming a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints! Yay Gavin!!!

We began the process of cutting his hair...(we had to do it in steps instead of just going straight to the short short stuff...;)

We took his missionary photos!

Gavin also got his wisdom teeth out! (With not much effect  or funny stuff from being put under. :)
I had a temple day with my der friend Lisa where we went to the Bountiful temple and did a session together. It was just what we both needed!
We also took the family to Idaho and stayed in an airbnb so that we could all go watch Gavin compete at the Simplot Games!
It was so fun to be there to watch and cheer him on!
Go Gavin!!!

We are SO PROUD of you!!!
Clint also received his awards and recognition from Sound Off Signal that he was the distributor of the year again!!! Way to go Sweetie!!!!
Bring on Cancun!!!
