In the beginning of October, Clint's family hosted our first (and last) Harry Potter Halloween Party!
It was held at Bellington Manor in Ogden, and was aHUGE success!
Everyone's costumes were spot on!
But I think my favorite by far was the 3 headed puppy Fluffy played by yours truly, the 3 brothers! Gavin, Dallin, and Carew!
We had a fun family night at the Cross E Ranch at their fall festival, complete with pig races, corn mazes, apple cider doughnuts, and everything else in between!
We celebrated Kara's 25th birthday and gave her a cozy pair of Ugg slipper sjoes that she loved. :)
We had a most special and timeless event... We welcomed Rodney James Trickett (8lbs. 3oz.) into the world on October 16, 2023! He is our 3rd grandchild, and our first Trickett grandchild. Clint (Pops) was SO EXCITED to learn his name, and that Carew and Kara were carrying on Carew's namesake from baseball Hall of Famer Rodney Cline Carew
Sweet baby Rodney had to stay in the NICU for about 10 days, so we made frequent visits to the hospital to visit Kara and Carew. One night we brought a picnic dinner of Cafe Rio and sat outside the hospital together to enjoy the fresh air. We braided Kara's hair, and sweet little Kesslyn made a "crown" for her to wear in her hair. We were grateful for the medical staff, and really looked forward to getting everyone home!

Kesslyn and I had a date to see the witches at Gardener Village.
And October was the month that Dallin told me he had met his wife. :)
He went back to Brazil with Ana Julia Pawlenkp Cardoso, a native from Santa Catarina Brazil!
They met at school, fell in love, and the rest is history!!!
