An Appointment With the Lord

Yesterday I woke up with the thought of going to the temple in my mind. The Jordan River temple is currently closed (which is where I  usually go) so I looked around the other temples for an appointment that would work with my schedule, and guess what?
There was one initiatory opening at the Draper temple, so I took it!!!
I was overcome with gratitude and love just by simply being there.
The flowers and trees in bloom are so beautiful!
I had a few loved ones on my mind, and some things that I was praying about, and I felt heaven's love and peace distill upon me, and my mind was clear.
The workers in the temple told me that not only was the Jordan River temple closed, but so was the Timpanogos temple, and they thought they were going to be slammed with people, but they weren't!
Not only was I able to get an appointment, but I was also the only one in the room, and was able to do double the amount of names that I usually do.
It was a very special time for me.
I left the temple feeling light and happy, and I know that I was filled with that power to take on life that you can only get from going to the temple!
I look forward to Saturday as well since Clint and I will also be going to the Bountiful temple to do sealings with my sister!
I LOVE the temple!

The Master's Hand

Over the weekend, the night sky was full of activity, like this flower moon, and lots of little meteor showers. It never fails that when I see God's beautiful creations, my testimony grows!
Each morning that I head out for a walk or run, I am filled with gratitude for the Master's creative hand.
It's also the loving hand that reaches out inviting us to follow Him.
That's what I'm trying to do!

BYU Invitational

Saturday was the BYU Invitational track meet!
This was a fun meet to be at because so much of our family was there!
Drake, Blaze, Brier, and Gavin were all competing in different events, and cheering each other on.
These are good kids, and these days are going by SO FAST.
Hold on to the little moments, because in they end, all the little moments made it all worth it!!!

Filling In at Premier

This week has been fun for me because I am working all day everyday for the most amazing boss...;)
Our secretary at Premier Vehicle Installation had to go in for a surgery, and so Clint asked me if I could help him out and fill in for her while she is out.
I LOVE seeing him interact with all of the customers, being so confident and good at what he does. He is happy, kind, assertive, respectful, and gets the job done. He's honest and helpful, AND he takes me with him on his lunch breaks. Yesterday I teased him as he was in his routine of picking up lunch, and heading back to the shop. "What are you doing??" I asked him. "You can't go back to the shop! This is our time to be alone and talk!" He laughed and apologized, not being used to having me with him everyday. He took me to a park where we sat on a bench and ate our lunch and talked. The air was warm, and it felt so nice outside. I LOVE this man so much and I am so happy that there is something small that I can do to help him out, and lighten his load. Thanks for asking me to help out Clint! You are the best boss! (And the cutest too! ;)

Back At It

We.ve been jumping right back into life now that we are home from Hawaii!
Kesslyn was a brave little soul and went to the dentist to get 2 cavities fixed. You would have never known how nervous she was! I was so proud of her for being so brave. :)

We also went to the Hale Center Theater's production of Hello Dolly on their center stage with the kids and Grandpa Trickett. It was such a cute story about "matchmaking"...perfect for Grandpa's love life right now. ;)
Also, over the weekend, Gavin went to a track meet and hit a personal record on the high jump of 6'1" which was a qualifying jump to advance him to state!
Way to go Gavin!!!
 YOU ARE SO AMAZING!!!
This weekend is the BYU Invitational, and we are looking forward to going and watching him compete there. We are so proud of our awesome kids for many many reasons...keep up the good work, and shoot for the stars!!

It's Good to be Home

What a great weekend with the family after being gone for 2 weeks in Hawaii with Kesslyn!
We went on a family picnic up the American Fork canyon on Sunday, sat at the picnic table by the river, and played card games.
Clint and I also enjoyed an overnighter in Park City at one of our very favorite places to stay, Hotel Park City!
The mountains are so beautiful, and it's peaceful. It's the perfect place to forget about everything and just be together. :)
The hot tub is so relaxing and warm, and we can just unwind, relax, catch up, and cuddle. ;)
All of my favorite things with my very best friend.
It's good to go away, but it's also good to be home!

A Few Last Memories From Hawaii

Kesslyn woke up on her last day in Hawaii to the best gift from the Hawaiian tooth fairy...
A $5.00 bill and a dime hidden in the middle of a seashell! :)
We also went to the beach on our last day in Hawaii. :)
Kesslyn, Easton, and Raya all had a ball at the beach!
Kesslyn loved the sand, Easton loved playing with Kesslyn, and Raya loved eating the sand! ;)

Kierra is a good mama always reminding her kiddos...
"It's ok to get dirty, it's ok to get wet, it's ok to be covered in sand..."
Kierra also told me that her beach blanket is her very favorite because it was given to her for her wedding from her Grandma Trickett, and it reminds her of her every time she uses it. :)
We played in the water...

We jumped over the waves...

We definitely got dirty, wet, and sandy...;)

But it was just SO much fun to be together!!!
Kesslyn and I loved being in Hawaii with Kierra and her family!!!
We made so many happy memories together, and most of them were just so simple and sweet...
These were little moments that will last forever.
(And here are a few more pictures that Kierra sent to me! ;)
Swimming at the pool in the rain...
Walking along the docks...
Playing in the splash pad in the backyard...
Our Sunday morning walk on God's green earth...
Raya's cute little hairdo's everyday...
Cuddling with Aunt Kesslyn...
and on and on and on...
Memories to last forever!!!
Thank you Kierra, Riley, Easton, and Raya! We LOVE you!!!
