Carew Enters the Temple

Saturday, June 10th was a very special day...one that I have helped my children prepare for since the day they were born. It was finally Carew's turn to enter the House of the Lord, His holy temple and receive his endowments.
We went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple that is just 10 minutes from our house. We arrived at 12:45 for the 2:15 session where we were greeted by a cute old man that was there to show us around and everything that we needed to do. I entered the temple with Carew and Clint and then the boys went their way and I met them later in the chapel where Carew came in with the biggest smile on his face! He was all dressed in white, as we all were. Grandpa Trickett, Riley, and our home teacher Mike Jamison were all there too (and I'm sure that Grandpa Panter was there in spirit as well;)...I felt so very happy.
I can't really describe the emotions that I felt...I was just so so very happy for Carew.
Happy that he has made it to this point in his life...
happy for the decisions that he has made thus far so that he is worthy to be here...
happy that he loves the gospel and is making these decisions because
he WANTS to and not because he HAS to...
happy that he is prepared and excited and not nervous or afraid...
happy for the many many blessings that await him and how he is making it one step closer
to eternal life with Heavenly Father...
I just can't describe the feelings...
Clint was his escort which naturally felt right. He stood by his side, helped him, and guided him as he does every single day of his life! Clint is such a great example to our children and I'm so grateful for the love that he has for the gospel as well and that he has shown the boys just how awesome it is to be good. :)
Blessings flow, there is peace, and JOY flows when you are worthy to go to the temple...and now Carew has gone! He is one step closer to going on his mission now and plans to go to the temple every week and even become a temple worker before he leaves if he can!
Carew had such a good experience being in the temple, and I know that he understands the sacred importance of the promises he has made. He loves and wants to serve Heavenly Father and he is doing just that. Carew, I cannot say it enough... I love you and am so proud of you!!!
Carew's friend Kate met us outside of the temple when we were done and congratulated Carew. She has not been endowed yet so didn't go with us, but is such a strong support for Carew. She wants those same blessings in her life and lives the kind of life that she too will be prepared for those glorious blessings one day soon. Who knows where each of their roads will lead, but for now, they walk side by side with each other on he same road...and they love it. And so do I. :) Kate is such a sweet girl and makes Carew be the best he can be. She brings out the best in him. :)
Before Carew actually went through the temple, we went shopping and bought all of his clothes, and Clint and I both sat down with him and explained some of the things we felt like sharing...I can tell that the Spirit has been very strong and present in our home and that Carew was calm yet excited, happy and confident, and the day turned out to be just as pleasing as I felt it would be...there really are no words for the joy that a parent feels to know that their children are walking in truth and righteousness...I can't say it enough...I am so happy! ;)
After we were done at the temple we took Carew and Kate out to dinner at the Olive Garden. It was a nice ending to a special day. We ate yummy food, visited, and had a good time just being together.
Italian food for the soon to be Italian missionary!!!
Congratulations again Carew! I LOVE YOU!!! :)

Carew James Trickett ~ Seminary Graduate!

Carew was fortunate this year to have the opportunity to serve on the Seminary Council at the Riverton High School Seminary. He learned so much, grew spiritually, and strengthened his testimony in so many ways.
He was also one of the main speakers at the Seminary Graduation, and because he served on the Seminary Council, was able to share a lot of his growth and experiences with the youth of our stake.
I was very proud of him and his accomplishments as a seminary graduate and a leader for his peers. I know that this training will be so beneficial to him as he embarks in the service of a full time missionary very soon...It was also so good to have the support of Kierra and Riley with him to encourage him and to cheer him on! I know that he loves them, and that Riley is very naturally becoming a wonderful big brother for Carew to look up to!

Here are the graduates from the Riverton 15th Ward:
Alivia Holt, Carew Trickett, Hannah Blaylock, Clark Astle, Heather Huff, Hunter Smith,
 Harmony Newbrough, and Driscoll Stone.
Carew, I cannot say it enough!!! I LOVE you and am so very proud of these amazing accomplishments that you are achieving in your life. The choices you are making now are going to directly affect the happiness that you experience both now and in the future. YOU my son were born to do amazing things and THAT is what you are doing!!! We love you Carew! Congratulations on your Seminary Graduation!!! :)

Making Time For Fun!

In the midst of all of the crazy, busy, oh so good things happening to our family this summer, we try to still take time to enjoy the little moments...Like having a sister date at Coldstone...:)
...and stopping to see some of our very favorite people and having tater tots, fries, and milkshakes in between wedding planning, dress shopping, and errand running...:)
...and even when mom is busy, this big sister Kambriella helps out by playing with Kissy Kessy, and having a "High Heel Fashion Show!" ;)
Girls just wanna have fun, right??? :)
Have I said lately how grateful I am???
EVERY day is a gift!!! :)

Ordained an Elder

The priesthood power is an awesome gift from God
given to his sons here on earth, and has been passed down from Jesus Christ himself.
It is the power to act in God's name and to serve and bless the lives of all of our
brothers and sisters here on the earth.
Clint received the priesthood from his dad and was able to pass that gift on to our son Carew through his priesthood ordination just this past Sunday...
So, on June 4th, 2017, this amazing young man was ordained an Elder and was given the Melchizedek Priesthood by his father, Clint James Trickett. His awesome Grandpa Trickett was there to support him in this special ordination too...I'm telling you...a mother's heart can hardly hold in all of the outpouring of love that it feels! Heavenly Father gives such good gifts, and the blessings are continual...as is the gratitude in my heart that I feel every single day!!! Congratulations Carew! I love you so much!!!

Kambriella's Baptism Day

On Saturday, June 3rd, (the day after her 8th birthday) Kambriella Noel Trickett was baptized a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! She was baptized by her father Clint James Trickett. :)
This was such a happy day for all of us...my heart was bursting with gratitude and love for this little angel in my life, for her sweet daddy who loves our family so very much, and for the blessings of priesthood power that enables these ordinances to take place, and for the restored gospel of Jesus Christ on the earth.
All dressed in white and ready to be baptized!!!
And a little excited too I might add...:)
Kambriella's beautiful program made by our friend and primary counselor Katie Kidd. She did such a beautiful job!!!
Kambriella had made up her very own program with all of the people assigned for talks, and prayers, and music...it was a perfect program just for her. :)
Kierra and Carew did a wonderful job on their talks! The Spirit was so strong...
All the children that were there got up and sang Kambriella's favorite song, "Gethsemane." The lump in my throat from that was too big to swallow ;), and when I watched Kambriella and Clint together in the water my tears of joy were overflowing. What a gift and precious sight indeed...
After the baptism we went back to our house where we invited our friends and family to come visit and have lunch. Grandpa Trickett was there with loving arms...
...along with Grandma Trickett, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and our ward family...
Kambriella with Aunt Tiffany and Uncle Colby...
Clint with Uncle Kevin and Aunt Laura...
Kambriella's good friend Kate with her mom Jessie...
Aunt Sara, Uncle Curt, Grandma Trickett, cousin Caden, and Aunt Tammy...
 Friends, friends, friends!!!
 ...and more friends!!! :)
 Cousin Alora and Kambriella...
Kambriella hugging Kate when it was time to say goodbye...
LOTS and LOTS of sandwhiches from Grinders, and more friends... :)
 A rainbow of fruits too...
 Kate and Carew :)
Cousin Lexi and little sissy Kesslyn...
Kambriella Noel Trickett...perfect, clean, and pure.
Newest member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter~day Saints!
 Mommy and Kambriella :)
I displayed a few pictures that were so special and sweet of Kambriella...Her 2nd grade teacher Ms. Warnock made this silhouette of Kambriella that I thought was so beautiful so I framed it and displayed it along with some of my favorite pictures of Kambriella preparing for her baptism...

...and the 3 white dresses picture with Kambriella in her baptism dress...
 "It's great to be 8!"
Kambriella also wore these rain boots in some of her baptism pictures, so we put some flowers in them for a fun centerpiece at the table...
These milestones and celebrations are so wonderful to me! I LOVE seeing my children learn, grow, and progress in the gospel! There is nothing I want more than for my children to gain strong testimonies of their own and go out into the world and succeed and be happy, finding joy in their journey on the road that leads back home to our loving Heavenly Father. I know that Heavenly Father is blessing my family and that each of us are receiving so much love from His guiding hand...
Congratulations Kambriella on your big, special day! I am so proud of you and the person you are becoming! Listen to the Holy Ghost and let him become your very best friend. He will help you in life to do what is right, and if you do you will be happy all along the way!!!
I love you!!!
XOXOXOX
