Because of the Temple

Taking time to go to the temple the week of Thanksgiving was something that I really wanted to make happen, and so I was really happy that Clint and I were able to...because when I sum up all that I am grateful for, the source of all of those amazing blessings come from my loving Heavenly Father, His priesthood power on the earth, and my eternal family that was first bound in the holy temple.Without these gifts and blessings, life would have very little meaning to me, and so showing my gratitude by going to His holy house is a simple but extremely meaningful token of my appreciation, gratitude, and love for Him and my Savior Jesus Christ..
I am so thankful for my greatest blessings...
Also, Dallin has been performing in his high school play called "In the Heights" the past 4 nights (except for Sunday of course), and we were able to go and watch it and support him. He is a great kid and working so hard on so many good things and we all love him and are so proud of the good that he is doing.
We also attended a basketball game last night for Gavin, and his team won their game! (This shot was a foul shot that Gavin actually made ;) Gavin too is an amazing young man with a kind and loving disposition, both on and off the court. He has many talents, but I think his kind and loving personality is one of his greatest strengths. I am thankful for my good good kids and am so glad that they are mine. Born in the covenant and sealed to us for all eternity...See? Its because of the temple!

Playing With "Cew"

This is what my morning with Kesslyn looked like...
She was playing with her stuffed animals and "Cew." ;)
But he wasn't saying ANYTHING when she asked him if he wanted to play Barbie's, so she just kept on playing stuffed animals with him. :) We sent him a voice recording of her conversation between him, her, and the animals...and she has decided she is going to stick with the kitty's and let Carew keep his favorite animal the Tiger because she thinks they are mean and scary...;)
But she did tell Carew that she knew that he "had to go," but she was "sad and had to cry."
But don't worry baby girl, before you know it, your big brother will be home and I just know that he will play all of the Barbie's and stuffed animals with you that you ever want!!! :)

Pretty Sweet

I'm not exactly sure how you pronounce the name of this Cookie company, but I AM pretty sure that they were made JUST for me. :) after all they practically have my name on them!!!
At least that's what my sweet hubby told me...these cookies he brought home last night just for me!!!
He is always trying to spoil me in one way or another, and I just LOVE him!
HE is so sweet! Sweeter than any cookie...and THAT"S pretty sweet! ;)
Although I am happily trying to share them and give them away because I already ate one all by myself, and I don't think it would be wise to keep these little devils around too long...it's like someone is trying to say my name, but then they can't finish what they were saying because they took a bite of these delicious cookies...;);) Suss...NOM NOM NOM !!! ;) ;) Mmmm... :)
Happy Thursday! Eat a cookie!

BYU Half Time

Last night Gavin and his basketball team had the opportunity to scrimmage on the BYU Cougars Marriott Center floor during half time!
Meeting Cosmo was super fun for Gavin and he felt sooo special! ...As he is of course! ;) ;)
We got there with on;y a few minor setbacks...(no parking, and finding out once I was heading inside that I wasn't allowed to bring my purse in so I had to trek all the way back to my car IN THE COLD...;(...
But we had a bite of food, Gavin and his team met down by the court right before half time, and they prepared to go out on the floor for some big time FUN. ;)
During the warm up Gavin made his layups AND his 3 pointer!!! Which was a huge accomplishment for him since now he can say he's made his 3's in all areas...Super league (Riverton High), College league (BYU :), and the NBA (On the JAZZ court!) :) :)
Plus, all of this was even more fun doing it with friends and family there to cheer Gavin on!
Way to go Gavin!!! We LOVE you!!!
Kambriella had a blast too seeing some of her old friends there, and Kesslyn ad a ball rockin' out to the loud music and eating Dippin' Dots! ;)
It was a fun night and once again I am grateful for all of the experiences and opportunities that my children are having in life that give them courage and confidence to realize what they are really capable of...not just physically but spiritually as well...
Oh and by the way... BYU won the game by about 30 points, so we MUST be good luck! :)

Dallin's Patriarchal Blessing

On Sunday, November 11, 2018 Dallin received his Patriarchal blessing. This was a day that he had really been looking forward to and prepared for spiritually by fasting, studying scriptures and conference talks, and seeking the companionship of the Holy Ghost. He is such a good good boy and he was ready. :)
In preparation for general conference Dallin thought of a question that he wanted to get an answer to, and then listened to conference seeking an answer to that question. When he heard the talk given by Steven R. Bangerter titled "Laying the Foundation For a Great Work" he felt prompted to receive a Patriarchal blessing.
So, he made an appointment with the bishop and had an interview, received a recommend,  and was blessed by Patriarch Giles who is a wonderful man that we actually know personally because he is a part of our ward family. It was a beautiful blessing and I felt privileged that Dallin wanted Clint and I to both be there. These are truly remarkable children and I fell so blessed to be able to experience this mortal journey with them by my side. :)
This weekend we also attended tithing settlement and spent the night down at our property where we prepared some things for Thanksgiving that is coming up!
The turkeys were walking up our driveway and looking SO plump!
I think they have forgotten what time of year it is because they keep on coming around! ;)
