On Friday after school, we gathered our family and Kesslyn's cousin Eila and friend Gabriella and headed down to Milburn to the cabin!
I loved listening to their sweet little giggles coming from the back seat. ;)
Kesslyn was SO HAPPY to see the birthday spread across the kitchen table! You could tell how special she felt, and that was exactly what I wanted for her. :)
We played so many fun games that Kesslyn had planned, and she LOVED it too!
Pin the tail on the deer was so so fun and Julia ended up pinning the tail closest, and won!
The girls were all So thrilled to open up the 3 large pink gift bags that I had on the table for them when they got there...They each got a matching sleeping bags to sleep in, drawstring backpacks for their nature scavenger hunt, and the cutest deer pajamas too!
They stayed up late watching a movie before falling into bed around 1:00 in the morning.
I LOVED watching these cute little girls wandering around in the back of the property collecting the items on their list for their nature scavenger hunt. The BEST part was when they were using the walkie talkies to help each other find their treasures!
Another thing that was really neat was watching Kesslyn be a good little friend and be a good little missionary.
The next door neighbor at the cabin just moved in and they have a little girl named Mary that is Kesslyn's age. She decided to go over and invite Mary to join the girls on their scavenger hunt and to participate in all of the games that we had planned for the day.
Mary looked so happy, and so did the other girls.
That is one thing that I LOVE is the innocence of sweet little children.
I want to be more like them!
We played Tug a War!
We used squirt guns and had water cup races shooting the cups down a string...
We had a relay race with popcorn!
The girls made wooden wind chimes with the sticks they found on their nature scavenger hunt...
They took turns going for rides on the 4 wheeler...
We opened presents and sang happy birthday and ate the yummy lemon cake that Emma had made for Kesslyn!!!
Mary, Kesslyn, Gabriella, and Eila
Kesslyn 's wish MUST come true because she blew out all of her candles in one big breath! ;)
After all of the fun and then cleaning up, we headed for home. We stopped in Spanish Fork and ate Chik-fil-A for dinner, and then dropped Gabriella off at home.
Eila was able to stay until Monday since it was Labor Day and there was no school!
Ididn't get any pictures, but those two little girls continued having a blast all weekend long...parks and hair chalk, games and Airborne trampoline park...Thank heaven for sisters and cousins...built in best friends for life!
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY KESSLYN!
We LOVE you!!!
