FUN does not even begin to describe how the weekend was!!! We did some awesome things like
MEET THE PIANO GUYS!!! :) Paul, Steven, Jon, and Al. ;)
It just so happens that Colby knows the guy who just redid all of the sound system in the Vivent Arena and was able to get us tickets to the Piano Guys concert for FREE!!! AND... we were given VIP passes to go and meet them after the show which was a fun thing to do!
The show was AMAZING...agreed from all of us that it was THE BEST concert we've ever been to...
and going backstage to meet those guys gave us the opportunity to tell them ourselves how much we love them, what they are doing, and what they stand for. It was an awesome night!
Then on Saturday it was Kambriella's Christmas dance recital! I went to watch that little sweetie and had such a fun time watching her, cheering her on, and realizing just how much she looks and DANCES like Kierra! It was such a good time! :)
(And yes, those colorful lights on my car windows are coming from INSIDE my car! :) Yes, I hung colorful Christmas lights INSIDE my car, and YES it's a party EVERYWHERE we go, and YES my kids think they have THE BOMB for a mom making their ride into "Santa's Sleigh!" :) :) :)
Kambriella danced in 2 numbers and did an amazing job!

One thing that I loved about the recital was the Nativity story that they told through dance...I have seen all kinds of live nativities, but never one quite like this before...It was beautifully done and literally brought me to tears because the special spirit there was so strong, especially when the angels danced and portrayed an image of rocking baby Jesus in their arms down to Mary...it was so sweet. I was in heaven. :)
Afterwards I met the little dancer with hugs and congratulations and I was so proud of her!
I gave her a little Teddy Bear wearing a tutu and holding ballet slippers instead of the traditional flowers...and she loved it like I knew she would. ;)
This little angel looks sooo much like her big sister Kierra! BEAUTIFUL!!!
Also at the same time as the dance recital was our ward Christmas party! Clint took the other kids and went to that because both of the boys were in the play and needed to be there.
Lucky for Kambriella and I, we were able to make it back to the church just in time to watch their performance!
Gavin was one of the "7 swans a swimming" and Dallin was the Narrator. The play was not quite what you would imagine...but better. :) It was a fun 12 Days of Christmas play with a spiritual message tied in to it. Each number represented something from the gospel that were gifts to the Christ child...for example.. the 7 swans said, "6 days we have to swim and play, but number 7 is the Sabbath day! We praise our Lord with trumpet sound, now let Peace on Earth be found!" They also performed a synchronized swim dive that made everyone giggle...:) So, you can see, it was fun, with the true spirit of Christmas wrapped up inside. It was fun to see. :) Dallin of course did an amazing job on his big part , and dressed in his tuxedo looked so handsome and sharp. ;)
Then, on Sunday before church, little Kesslyn once again played with all of the little nativity sets and her little friends. ;)
Baby Jesus front and center...just like all of my other kids have done when they were little and would play with the people. It is one of my favorite memories of Christmas time. ;)
Then, after church we all drove up to Grandma and Grandpa Trickett's house in Santa's sleigh ;) and painted sugar cookies with all of the cousins!
Kesslyn was so serious and concentrating so hard at what she was doing! She wanted to eat every cookie as soon as it was painted too. ;)
This is one of the kids favorite things to do with Grandma! Sisters loving being together...
...and cousins Dallin and Cohen loving it too...
Grandpa Trickett and Gavin...
Susette and Clint...my HANDSOME sweetie pie and eternal heartthrob! ;) ;) ;)
...and the sleigh ride home!!! FUN!!! FUN!!! FUN!!!
Merry Christmas!!!
