Christmas at the Cabin! ~A Gift of Time!

From the moment Kierra and Riley arrived home for Christmas on Wednesday, December 20th, sweet little Kesslyn held on tight to her big sissy and was sooo happy to see her! Everyone was for that matter.;)
The timing of them arriving, and the kids getting home from school, and Santa sending us on a Gift of Time was almost simultaneous! Hugs were being handed out, the kids came running through the door, and Santa delivered us a letter that said to hop in our car and drive to the cabin for an overnight of fun with Kierra and Riley!!! So, we did! But first, Santa told us to stop at Hu Hot on our way to the cabin for dinner...
We all ate the delicious Mongolian food and enjoyed catching up with each other...
and of course taking goofy pictures too...:)
Kesslyn literally could not stay close enough to Kierra. :)
After we finished up at the restaurant we got back in our car and started driving the rest of the way to the cabin...in the SNOW!!! It was the first real snow of the year and it came with Kierra and Riley, and we could not have been more excited about it!!!
As we drove up to the gate to our property we were pleasantly surprised by the cutest happy snowman face staring out at us!!! Santa added just the right little touches for our Gift of Time! We were so excited that he had brought us here! ;)
Once we made it inside we were surprised once again to find a table full of games and goodies and a letter thanking us for letting him stay the night there while he is out checking on all of the girls and boys!
We were just so happy, excited, and grateful to be there and to be together, and we could hardly wait to get warm and cozy and start playing our games...
Santa did not leave out any details either! Not only did he decorate our kitchen table with games and goodies, he also turned on the heat for us and plugged in our Christmas tree lights, AND left a gift for everyone!!!
Christmas PAJAMAS!!!
Everyone looked so cute and cozy in their cabin Christmas pajamas! :)
After playing games, eating our treats, watching ELF, and staying up late, we all tried to sleep in.
When everyone was awake it was back to playing games...and enjoying hot chocolate while I made breakfast. :)
After we were all done eating we got dressed up as warm as we could and headed outside to explore the property in the snow! Of course when I got outside I found the 2 little love birds dancing and twirling in the snow together...just like pure magic. ;)
Kesslyn found her favorite partner and we all headed out...
Riley laid down and made the tallest snow angel I have ever seen!!!
...and Kambriella followed suit...in a much shorter version of course. ;)
Packing that little sweetie for a long time can get kind of hard, so we moved to a shoulder ride to lighten the load...:)
The sun was shining and it was an absolutely gorgeous morning! All of the trees looked like fragile lace Christmas ornaments to me all covered in the fresh snow...
It's Christmas time and we are blessed!!!
Riley was such a good sport and gave Kambriella a shoulder ride too...
...although she is getting a little big for that! He was always so good to humor the little ones and give them the attention they were craving. You are awesome Riley! :)
And the piggy backs were handed out...this one was Dallin carrying Clint!
I think he might be a little too big for that too!!!
Dallin and Gavin showed Kierra and Riley all of the places where they hope to make their forts in the summer...
...and we took some fun pictures in the winter wonderland!
 Romantical ones...:)
...toe popping ones and dipping ones...:)
I LOVE having all of my girls together!!! I think they are all soooo beautiful!!!
After we went back inside we cleaned up and packed up and got ready to head back home, but only looking forward to all of the fun that still lay ahead! We shut and locked the gate, waved goodbye to our snowman friend, and talked and sang the whole ride home.
These are the simple treasures in life...family and being together.
They are the greatest gifts that I've ever been given.
Thank you Santa for our Gift of Time!!! It was time well spent and time we will never forget!
Merry Christmas!
