Over the weekend we visited one of our very favorite places...the cabin!
This beautiful place is so peaceful and special to us.
Each time we go, the seasons change and we find something new and unique to see and appreciate.
This time while we were there we heard the most beautiful and piercing sound of a hawk flying over head...
There was actually two of them that would fly in circles and then land in a different tree top. They must have been looking for food...
They were so beautiful and fun to see!
We also saw this intricate spider web and were amazed at what something so small could create...
(But honestly I was SO happy that we didn't see the spider that built it!)
We also checked in on the progress of our flooded cabin...
Everything has been torn apart in an effort to restore what was lost from the flood that happened over the winter when the pipes burst.
It looks like a very big project. There were obstacles in every room in the house, including kitchen drawers and utensils stacked up by my bed...
The force and the amount of snow that came down off of the roof onto the back deck forced the railing off of the back deck and onto the ground.
One of my favorite Christmas trees that grew right beside the deck has bit the dust too. ;(
There was so much snow that it forced the tree over where it stayed that way for the entire spring and now it's dead. There were multiple large trees that had fallen over on the property that we will need to go back and chop up and clear out. The grass is also 3 feet tall!
There is SO much work to do, but with my sweetie by my side, we can do ANYTHING!
We just put our hats on backwards, roll up our sleeves and go to work!
I'm so grateful and happy that I get to live this adventure with you, Clint. I love you and am so grateful for this small little piece of heaven that we get to work on, make memories on, and build dreams together.
