Halloween Fun With Grandma

For the first day of our fall break, we traveled up north to go to Grandma Trickett's house.
The kids were all so excited to see their cousins and have some creative fun making Haunted candy houses and painting pumpkins!
With so many fun colors and candies to choose from it was kind of hard to decide what to do first...
...but once they got started they couldn't hardly stop! :)
Cohen and Dallin decorating their "Monster Houses"...
Kambriella watching on as her cousins Ella and Brier get working on their roofs...
Kambriella and Alora having fun creating a "fire torch" out of pretzel sticks and orange frosting!
With Grandma Trickett and their finished houses!
Gavin was really enjoying himself while he was painting. He is taking an art class right now in 7th grade and LOVES it! He is talented and passionate about art. :)
Kambriella has that creative side too...and made the long curvy stem of her pumpkin into the nose for her jack~o~lantern face! Great job Kambriella!
Kesslyn wanted a pink pumpkin...(surprise surprise! ;)
But after she had the entire thing painted pink, she didn't want to stop so she started covering it again in grey!
These kids are all so lucky that they have such a FUN Grandma to do these kinds of things for them! :)
They are creating such fun traditions and such GOOD memories! I hope that I can be that kind of a fun Grandma one day!
(Kesslyn's finished product with the finger painted face. :)
Gavin and his Jack~O~Lantern painted pumpkin!
During the party we also had some fun Halloween music playing, and the girls had fun dancing the "Thriller!"
...and the Macarena!
Some of their very favorite times are just being together with their cousins, and I love that they really love each other!
They are good kids and growing up so fast...but becoming some really amazing little people!
Emmet was a little unsure of everyone there, but finally warmed up to me and Dallin especially.
(Although he looks like he is about ready to cry in this picture! ;)
At the end of the party everyone went outside to play some games in the yard and enjoy the beautiful weather. Grandma got a fun picture with her and all of her grand kids that were there, and they all had fun making noise and laughing with each other...
Little Kesslyn was sooo proud of her little haunted house!
As soon as she was finished she wanted to carry it around with her everywhere she went. :)
Kambriella and her Monster House too...
Dallin and his Monster House with fangs, and a ghost holding swords... ;)
Once we got home Gavin wanted another picture of him with his painted pumpkin. He said that it was important to him to have a picture of it at our house too...that made it much more special to him. :) Sweet boy...
And all my little sweeties with their candy houses...and Kesslyn in the middle of actually eating hers..;)
It's a fun time of year and we are all so glad to be together and to be on Fall Break! Hooray for fun, family, and awesome times like these...they are the BEST!
