This week we had another big snow storm that brought a Snow Day! NO SCHOOL!!!
Gavin had gotten up early (5:00 am) anyways to do service, and shovel snow for the neighbors. He did our driveway plus four others! Then crashed for a minute after before tackling his virtual learning assignments.
Kambriella is my new ministering partner, and she had spent some time looking up scriptures and inspirational quotes about PEACE and EASTER. She made some beautiful cards and we attached her cards onto some Bunny loaves of bread from Great Harvest and delivered them to our sisters...IN the snow storm.:)
It was also a temple day for everyone! Kambriella and Gavin went and did baptisms at the temple together, Clint and I went and did initiatory appointments, and even Riley in Hawaii went to the temple today. We are trying so hard to turn our focus to the Savior as we celebrate His life on this week of Easter. I LOVE the temple!
We also spent an evening making our oil lamps for our Jerusalem dinner.
This is always one of my kids very favorite activities to do during our week long Easter celebration!

The next night, we turned down all the lights, gathered our oil lamps, and had our Jerusalem dinner by candlelight and firelight.
My sweet mom arrived in town to be with us, and so we got to have he with us too! (We didn't make her eat on the floor like the rest of us though ;)
We ate salmon, green beans, olives, cheese, blueberries, and flat bread with grape kool aid to drink. This menu and eating this way is our way of putting ourselves back in Jesus' time to try and imagine in a small way what life may have been like for Him. We pulled out our Gospel Art Kit pictures and read scriptures of the Last Supper, Judas' betrayal, and the implementation of the sacrament.
It was a special night and we all enjoyed the time, and the special spirit that we felt.
I am so grateful for these righteous traditions and the opportunity to experience this life with such amazing people in my family. My heart is full, and I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ.
