Spring Break 2023! We went as a family to St. George where Clint attended the Chief's Conference, and then we spent the remainder of the week together just relaxing and being together.
We HAD to eat at this restaurant named La Fonda! Grandpa Trickett's pet chicken was named La Fonda! :) (She died at 13 years of age just a couple of weeks ago, and Clint had fun joking that she tasted good! ;)

We stayed at an amazing Airbnb that had a few swimming pools with hot tubs and a lazy river...
Lucky for us we did get ONE day of sunshine while we were down there! Everyone took advantage of it and basked in the sun, swam in the pool, and played in the lazy river.
We ate yummy food every night, and had Chloe and Gabriella Brown with us a few of the days...
(And if you look very closely, at the very center of this picture, at the table next to us were the Gruber's! Our good friends from Riverton. ;)
We spent time hiking in the red rocks...
Taking pictures and videos that Gavin needed to make an SBO audition video...
Exploring, and enjoying being together and NOT being at school. :)
I LOVE my kids!
We saw the new Red Cliffs temple that is still under construction...
We got slushies at Bahama Bucks! :)
We even got to go on a hike to Gunlock Falls! It was a beautiful place, and it even snowed on us while we were there!
We also found a PURPLE golf cart that worked PERFECTLY for part of Gavin's SBO video!
Dennis was SO helpful and kind to let us bring it inside and do some filming in it!
Gavin was so happy, and I was so grateful that he was so willing and excited to help us out.
My sister Tiffany and her son Xaxton were with us for the filming too!
(Yes, Tiffany and her family decided to drive down last minute and spend a couple of nights with us! (Xaxton cut his leg within the first 30 minutes of being there with us and had to go and get stitches too!)
We found warmth and relaxation in the hot tub at night. :)
And Princess Kesslyn slept LIKE a Princess in the pink castle bunk beds!
When I asked her what her favorite part of the trip was, she said, "Sleeping in my Princess Castle bed!"
She now wants one at home! ;)
On the last day of our trip, we stopped in Cedar City and did baptisms there!
This was such a beautiful temple that we had never been to before...
Clint was able to go in and do the confirmations for the kids...
While I stayed outside with Kesslyn. ;)
We talked all about the temple and how before she knows it she will be old enough to go inside too!
But for now, I am perfectly fine with keeping her little and being there for her.
These days are going by TOO fast!
Gavin worked on his video and got it submitted on the night we arrived home...
And Clint and I were still able to make it out on a date that night to go and see an Easter concert titled "Lamb of God," It was a beautiful concert and the perfect way to head into the Easter season1
We also sat by this amazing couple that we made friends with, Robin and Ryan Thorn from South Jordan. He is a bishop and she works in the temple. We sat for almost an hour after the concert was over just visiting and learning all about each other. I tell my kids all the time that strangers are just their bothers and sisters that they haven't met yet. ;) It was a fun night. Clint and I also got sandwiches at Leatherby's afterwards.
In between conference sessions on Saturday I also took Gavin suit shopping for prom! He ended up with a handsome black suit. :)
The rest of the weekend was filled with the Spirit of General Conference!
We watched all 5 sessions, and the girls drew their notes on poster boards like we have always done...
I love how they can draw what they are learning...
Gavin was also fortunate enough to get to attend the Saturday morning session with the young men in our ward. He had a great time being there.
I LOVE conference, and how filled we are when we listen and receive those special messages that Heavenly Father has just for us. I can't wait to go back and listen and study them again over the next 6 months. Sunday was also Palm Sunday and we started the beginning of our week long Easter celebration. It's going to be a great week! I LOVE Spring Break, General Conference, and Easter! Put them all together and you have one amazing celebration!
