Dallin, Eagle of the Quarter!

 This handsome young man was awarded the Eagle of the Quarter 

at Oquirrh Hills Middle School yesterday!

 This award is given out once a quarter to 4 young men and 4 young women who are nominated by their teachers and peers as being one who shows a good example of leadership, academic success, responsibility, and good citizenship in the school...Dallin is DEFINITELY the man!!! 

 The awards ceremony began with a baby picture of the student, a brief summary of their goals, ambitions, and achievements...

 ...and then the student coming down to receive the certificate and medal!

(Not to be biased, but my Dallin was the sweetest AND cutest! ;)

 Then, I REALLY wanted to get a picture with Dallin, so we had a friend take a few pictures for us...Please note the progression of Kesslyn's actions and disinterest in taking a picture...;)  ;)

First, she wanted the Eagle statue...

 Then she began picking her nose...

 (Which I kindly tried to distract her from...;)

 ...to back to wanting the Eagle...

Oh well!!! At least we are IN the picture to prove that we were there! ;)

 After the assembly there was a short reception in the media center  for the students and families with juice and donuts and cinnamon rolls...

Kesslyn loved the treats of course...and made plenty of new friends! (All of Dallin's friends were in love with her! ;)

 Then more pictures with the principal, Mr. Glenn...

 ...and my awesome Eagle Dallin! Way to go buddy!!!

(Also, Dallin was nominated for the Eagle of the Day on that same day!!! The teachers at the school said that had never happened before and that Dallin was the first! It didn't surprise me though...that's my Dallin, LUCKY and SWEET as can be!)
